If I still had it all...

I was talking to a friend about all the gear we've been through over the years and we were thinking about what it would be like if we had kept everything we ever owned, so it got me thinking about my gear past and what I would have if I had kept everything I ever owned. Here's what I can remember:

Fender HWY1 Telecaster
Fender Squier Jagmaster

Pedals, etc..
too many to remember... a few that stand out however that I wish I still had:
3x Line 6 PODXTL's
Bad Cat 2-tone

Ahh, how I wish I had kept it all...
I know there are a few I forgot... I'll have to think about it some more. As you can see I tend to be heavy on the Fenders :)

Of course you would miss the Duncan, Dave!

Starting list - Pretty sure I will have to edit this
Electric Guitars
Ibanez RG 320DX

LP STudio, 1994
Takamine GX200T

Effects
No way on earth could I remember half of these. Too many

gg7 09-26-2008 09:54 PM

I want to do this just to see if I can remember all the guitars I've gone through over the years. My list list will consist of a lot more acoustics than most here I'd guess. I'll probably forget something.

Acoustics past:
Epiphone PR200
Yamaha AEX4?
Carvin Cobalt C250
Takamine GS330S
Wechter Pathmaker ?
Breedlove AC200/SM
Rainsong Parlor
Taylor Baby
Taylor Big Baby
Larrivee Parlor
Seagull Artist Folk
Stringsmith Vagabond
Go-guitars Go-M
Art & Lutherie Ami Cedar

Current acoustics:
Art & Lutherie Folk Spruce
Charvel 625C

Electrics:
Lotus Strat copy
Danelectro 56U2 reissue
Traveler Pro-series acoustic/electric hybrid
(this was one of the made in the USA versions before Fender took them over)
Custom Tele thinline (mostly Warmoth parts)
Custom Tele thinline hybrid electric/acoustic
(mostly USACG and Carvin parts)
Custom modified strat (from a Carvin Bolt kit)

I don't own any electric guitars at the moment.

Amps (I never had any really nice electric amps, one nice acoustic):
Kustom ?? reverb
Vox Pathfinder
Prime 50 watt bass amp
Ultrasound Acoustic Amp (30 watt)

There have been quite a few other instruments along the way too. Bass, mandolins, ukuleles, harmonicas, etc.

Peavey Deuce

I miss my Deuce. I sold it to fund a Hot Rod Deluxe, but I think it had the most balanced sound out of anything I've used.

BillSPrestonEsq 09-27-2008 12:28 AM

I think I would be happier getting rid of some gear. Too much makes me always have something to maintain or restore.

terminalh 09-27-2008 05:04 AM

Yeah I've gone through a decent amount of gear over the years. However, the past few years I've maintained pretty much the exact same equipment. Anyway, what I absolutely miss the most is my old 7-string Music Man Petrucci guitar. I'll definitely have to pick one up again sometime in the future. Best guitar I've ever played!

presbystrat 09-27-2008 08:51 AM

I have only been playing for 6 years and haven't had a lot of money to spend on equipment but here's what I used to have:

Guitars:Alvarez RD20SC acoustic/electric
Squier Standard Strat

I don't miss the Alvarez much because my Seagull blows it in the weeds. I miss the Squier sometimes because I could get a darker tone out of it than my Godin SDxt. The only thing I didn't like about the Squier was the narrow neck.

Amps: still using the same Kustom KMA 65 keyboard amp I bought 5 years ago.

Effects

Digitech RP100 multi-effects
Zoom 504 acoustic multi-effects
Zoom A2 acoustic multi-effects

I am definitely happier with less gear.

Thanks, I ALWAYS spell that wrong for some reason

There are a few things on there that I really wish I still had... The Epiphone ET-290N and Bad Cat come to mind...
I sold that guitar to a girl I had a crush on in High school for next to nothing because she said she wanted to learn to play... Turns out she really didn't care about learning to play she just wanted an excuse to flirt with me and I was too dense to get the hint
Anyway, it was my first electric and I loved it and I always regret letting it go. Her and I split ways after high school and I never saw her or the guitar again
