Casting Crowns/Mark Hall - is he a good singer to emulate?

I'm just wondering, maybe some more experienced singers can give me a hand on this. Is Mark Hall from Casting Crowns a good singer to try to sound similar to? He seems to have a pretty good range, and he can hold notes for a good long period of time, but at the same time he sometimes sounds a bit gravelly. Also, what would he be considered? He can get into the high notes, but he doesn't stay there for the whole song, and his voice does have some depth to it, or at least it sounds like it.

I think these sorts of questions have been answered before. There is no need to emulate a certain singer. You have your own natural voice and trying to emulate another singer when you don't naturally sound like that person is not going to do you or your voice any good.
