Accent Tips

Since it's such a common question (and because it's convenient to copy and paste these for those of us without bilingual keyboards), the alt codes for Spanish accents:

alt + 160 = á
alt + 130 = é
alt + 161 = í
alt + 162 = ó
alt + 163 = ú
alt + 129 = ü

alt + 0193 = Á
alt + 144 = É
alt + 0205 = Í
alt + 0211 = Ó
alt + 0218 = Ú
alt + 154 = Ü

alt + 164 = ñ
alt + 165 = Ñ

alt + 168 = ¿
alt + 173 = ¡
alt + 174 = «
alt + 175 = »

And if you want to make your keyboard bilingual:

Windows-

Open "My Computer".
Double click on "Control Panel".
Double click on "Keyboard", select the tab called "language".
Click "add", and find "Spanish (Modern Sort)".

Mac-

Click on the apple on the top left of the screen.
Open KeyCaps (a little keyboard will appear on the desktop)
Hold down the option key - the accents will appear and you can click on them with the mouse.
