I\'ll also use it for practicing.\r\n-Frequency - Ever few days\r\n-Musical Style - Blessthefall, Underoath, The Word Alive, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, Incubus, Worth Dying For, Kutless, Chris Tomlin, others of the like.\r\n-Current Setup - My amp just isn\'t to the quality that I would like.  Its a cheap crate amp that really has no power or good tone.  I use a MIM fender telecaster through a DigiTech RP90 and a boss DS1 but I will most likely be getting more FX soon.\r\n-Experience - I\'ve been playing for almost 5 years.  I\'ve played a variety of amps.  Fenders, Peaveys, Marshalls, Line 6\'s, Mesas.  I really would like to play an Orange amp some time soon.\r\n-Personal Research - I want to get a half stack preferably.  I\'d be sweet if it was tubed, but I don\'t know too much about them like if I need to change tubes ever so often and that stuff.\r\n-Shopping - I shop at Guitar Center and Firehouse Guitars.\r\n-Timeline - I\'ll be saving for it, but it isn\'t an urgent thing, just something in like 6 months\r\n\r\nany advice on what to try out, or look at would be sweet.  I\'d like something that can do the job loud and have a good tone.  I also would like it to have a half volume switch for practicing.', '9');

I have narrowed it down to either an Orange (Rockerverb 50 or 100), and Mesa/Boogie (Dual or Triple Rectifier). I play a Carvin CS6, and I am looking for a good Rock amp. I want something that sounds like "What if his people prayed" from Casting Crowns, Skillet, Switchfoot, Sanctus Real. I am not looking into heavy metal; the heaviest I am looking for is a Skillet sound. Will the Orange be able to pull these sounds? Any comments and opinions are greatly appreciated. :-)', '8');

We\'re starting a business under the name Necropolis Amplifiers.  We have a few questions to pose to the general mass of CGRers, as Eric and my preferences are not exactly in line with the common guitarist\'s. \r\n\r\nWe are working on our design and we came to a few questions we\'d like to pose to you guys.\r\n\r\nAre effects loops a dire necessity in a low wattage amplifier? Would it make or brake an amp for you?\r\n\r\nThe idea of an effects loop is that modulation effects sound better after distortion, however, in this amp you\'re probably going to be getting a lot of power amp distortion if you\'re using a lot of gain, as it it low wattage, effectively making it, from our viewpoint useless. \r\n\r\nSo we have a few options:\r\n\r\n1: Make what was our single ended amp into a push pull amp that would be less gainy on the power side. Thus also making the amp less dynamic. And due to our design, less tonal control.\r\n\r\n2: Leave it out all together. Same dynamic amp with near perfect tonal control. More power amp distortion\r\n\r\n3:  Still have it, between the pre and the power because you want it there. No real tradeoff, it\'s just kinda useless.', '31');

Under $700 USD\n\n-Necessity - I need it for a small band that is starting to form, and most likely will not be micing it.  Playing weekly in front of about 30-80 people, with a band and smallish PA system.  Currently use the headphone out on my fender frontman to the PA system.\n\n-Frequency - Played pretty much every day for practise, once a week in front of people.\n\n-Musical Style - I guess a Hillsong type of tone.\n\n-Current Setup - I have a cheap LTD by ESP guitar (two humbuckers), and a 60s MIJ Es-335 Clone (two single coils.  This is my favourite guitar, and was dirt cheap).  My amp is a cheap 30 watt fender frontman.  No pedals (yet).\n\n-Experience - Been playing the guitar roughly 3 years, and I have a friend who has a tiny terror which I find interesting.\n\n-Personal Research - After many weeks researching, I\'m tempted to buy a Frenzel AC15+epiphone valve junior cab.  The epiphone cab will eventually get a speaker replacement.\nAlso looked at Vox AC15, Fender hot rod, but the frenzel seems like a better buy.\n\n-Shopping - I\'d be buying online (I live in a small city in mexico, and I have yet to see a tube amp here).  Would be willing to buy used from eBay or some website that ships to Texas.\n\n-Timeline - I need the amp for February, obviously earlier is better, but I\'m fine with my fender frontman for now.\n\n#####\n\nI think I\'m pretty sold on the Frenzel AC15, the thing I need most help with is a cab.\nThe epiphone is $130 for a birch plywood cab, that looks nice+a speaker.  I had been looking at lopoline and avatar cabs, but they kinda push my budget.  Although if someone tells me that the epiphone is a really really bad cab, I guess I could spring for a lopoline 1x12.', '16');
