It stands for Decent Christian Talk...that's what they said in an interview. Sounds kind of corny now, but they probably thought of it back when that would've been cool. Didn't e-mail it to you...what's the point of the boards if I do that?

They don't say it stands for decent christian anymore, though. They say that the second definition of it is for District of Colombia, the city they met at. They went to Liberty University together.

I know my dc Talk. I know A LOT about Toby too.

For example, not many people know that Toby's real name is Kevin Michael McKeehan. Ironically, it's the first name of the other members of dc talk so he goes by Toby. His older brother gave him the nickname Toby way back when he was in the womb because he was due in October. It was at first Tober, and then it got shortened to Toby.

Or that his brother-in-law is Mark Stuart from Audio Adrenaline. When dc talk moved to Tennessee, Toby's sister, Kerri went to live with him for a while. She met Mark and got married to him. Which is why Audio A has a lot of ties with Gotee records.

I believe that the district of columbia meaning came first...forefront encouraged them to take on the meaning of "decent Christian" in light of all the negative in mainstream rap...

I prefer the washington dc meaning...

Ooh! Another little known fact... Kerri McKeehan-Stuart did the photography for the original Sonicflood album... and that's cuz Jason Halbert played keys for dcTalk before he was in Sonicflood!
