I first read about her in this months CCM... And from that I could tell that she was going to be mediocre at best... Because she said that Jen Knapp was her idol, and that she was like so a rocker chick like Jen... :rolleyes:

I don't think she's <i>that</i> bad. I would listen to her stuff. She ahs a neat sound to her voice. As for the lyrics, I haven't read them yet :p She's 15, what can you expect?

i think that bethany dillon is a great artist. her writing is pretty awesome for only being 15 and her voice has this neat tone to it. more importantly than that, she seems to be a very level-headed grounded christian and i think she's only doing what God has called her to do. you don't have to like it, but i suppose it's not quite fair to knock it either just because it's what you might consider to be 'industry produced pop'. and these comparisons to avril lavigne??? ACK! dear friends, i don't know how the two are anywhere alike.

that being said, if bethany can survive in the christian music industry i think she'll be really incredible..give her a few years...

Just because she's a Christian doesn't make her a perfect musician. And "pretty awesome for 15" isn't going to cut it, either.

I think she's very good.
Comparing her to Avril or even Stacy Orrico is a low blow. She definitly has talent and is worshiping God through her music which is all that really matters.

bethany dillon's album is awesome, especially given the fact that she is only like 16, and i don't know why some of you people are just sitting here bashing her and her music. if you don't like it, well, that's fine. you can have your opinion. but would it be ok if you keep it a little more to yourself, instead of coming here and filling this thread, and others like it with all kinds of negative stuff.
