absolutely awesome band.. a guy i was taking lessons from a while back introduced me to them and i havnt stopped listening to yet, dont ever plan to, love their work, definatly my favorite band.. lol petrucci's solos are mind blowing... when i can play as well as him ill be happy :p

Ya I just recently got their Train of Thought CD, it really is great, it was worth the money. I sure wish they'd come to the NW...

i have not gotten into them yet... i need money for cds. what i've heard, though, is that they are one of the greatest things to ever happen to the world.

I'm huge DT fan!!! I used to hang out on the Mike Portnoy forums for quite a few years.

Yes, I have every single one of their CD's, DVD's, etc. I saw them last summer with Megadeth on Giantour. Didn't stay for Megadeth, though :)

They have to be one of the best bands out there as far as technical musicianship goes.

Dream theater are ok, but I prefer narnia as far as prog/technical metal and theyre a Christian band also.

Well, as far as I know, not by the letter, but the lead singer and the bassist are Protestants, the guitarist is a Catholic, and the drummer and the keyboardist are Jewish. Take that however you want.

The thing is that you were around when it was dead and not when people were actually posting in it.I wont close it just because I dont really think it was that huge of a raise around here.
