I will have to disagree with you two.
Now INTERMISSION was by far the best.
That is not opinion it is FACT.

I think "Free at Last" is the best DC Talk album. It's really the only one I can listen to all the way through. Songs like "Luv is a Verb", "Hardway", "Socially Acceptable", and "Jesus is Still Alright" you just really can't go wrong with this album.

Can you go wrong with Jesus Freak?

I definately think that Jesus Freak is dc Talk's best album and marked the height of their music career. It has almost all of the classic songs that they are known for. The earlier albums have too much rap for my taste, and Supernatural seems a little watered down and pop-ish, although there are a few great songs on that album. By the way, does anyone know if dc Talk is back together? At a Tate concert I went to about a year ago he said that they were, but it doesn't look like it's happening...

Think of your favorite DcTalk songs and most likely they are on
Intermission. It's great! You don't have to skip thru songs you don't like, you
just play it thru and there all awesome.

I gotta go with Jesus Freak b/c I sorta dismiss intermission since it is a greatest hits album. And c'mon Jesus Freak rocks my socks off, even the ones still in my drawer.

Intermission is a greatest hits CD, so I don't think that it could be considered when counting great albums.

Ya gotta remember, Mrs. Morgan and the Freak Reprise are supposed to FUNNY not GOOD MUSIC lol

Anyway, I think Welcome to the Freakshow (da live one!) is the best as far as song selection although the quality of the arrangements on Jesus Freak is better. I think Intermission doesn't quite have it cuz they skipped over some of the more party rock songs like Day by Day and Like It Love It Need It (which both Jesus Freak and Freakshow have).

O YEAH, I almost forgot about Welcome to the Freakshow. But once again that's a compilation of sorts and i can't really count it but yeah that cd is soooo good. Their live show is awesome!!

Definitely the first one. It's amazing how musically mature they were for a debut album. I mean, "Round round, a ruh a round round" That's some crazy stuff right there. Or "Huh huh heaven, huh huh huh heaven". They are lyrical gangsters!

Not.

Ha-ha, yeah the first album is kinda funny to listen to now that Jesus Freak and Supernatural have come out. But every band grows through growing pains, if you don't beleive me, watch a little Vh1 before they were rock stars. On second thought, don't watch Vh1 :kgrin:

i'd have to say that supernatural is thier best album because i like "since i met you" and "into jesus." but jesus freak is also good because i like colored people and jesus freak. in the light is also goodbut i would have to agree with soccar aaron because i like say the words now

I think Supernatural is the best. I love it because all the songs come together as a whole. Like just having one big song that is cool to listen to all the way through. I think it's awesome. I mean pretty much every song is upbeat besides Red Letters. And the one song I'm not a big fan of is Godsend. I've never really liked it. Anyway, Intermission takes 4th place in my book because it has 6 songs from Jesus Freak and just 2 from Supernatural! That's outrageous! They even had 4 from Free At Last! I mean come on! They should have at least included Into Jesus and/or Dive. It could have easily done without Chance, Mind's Eye, and Socially Acceptable. I think of Jesus Freak like Newsboys Step Up To The Microphone and Supernatural like LoveLibertyDisco. The earlier one is more rocky and rocky people tend to love it much more. The 2nd one is not as hard, but it's a great album either way. That's the way a lot of bands do it. another example is Underdog and Lift (or Bloom and Underdog). Anyway that's how I see it. I'll always go with the weaker Supernatural flow. Sorry!

id have to say that Jesus Freak, and Free Atlast are very close to be in the number 1 spot, i like em both, but Supernatural is a little slow for my taste, but they have great songs on it, like My Friend (So long), Into Jesus, Dive, and so on. But i cant decide whether Jesus Freak or Free Atlast is better...

I'm just saying stylewise Jesus Freak is rockier than Supernatural, as is Step Up(etc.) to LoveLibertyDisco

Jesus Freak was there best album. It had a little of everything. A little rock, a little rap, a little pop.... It was just a great album. Supernatural was good, but they could have done better. I can't stand "wanna be loved". And where a lot of the songs are good, it just doesn't seem like dc talk. Second to Jesus Freak, (I can't say it's better than the others) Nu Thang is probably what I listen to the most. And they didn't have any real old school on Intermision. I also like Jesus Freak the best because it wa the first of there albums that I bought, and I was able to get my copy autographed. Jesus Freak also isn't just the best dc talk album, it's the best album erer made by anyone, period.

Jesus Freaks is rated the 2nd best rock cd of all time by ccm, has 2 books written from it which have sold 1,200,000 copies. I only sometimes skip the first 2 songs to get to three, but the whole cd is great. I like the talks, I laugh every time in unison with the people on the cd. Not really, but why don't they just get together again, this solo business don't cut the cheese.

I beleive they are still under contractual obligation to release at least one more cd. I read that a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure dc talk will be back sooner or later. Let's just hope it's sooner.

Not really, but why don't they just get together again, this solo business don't cut the cheese.First off, how can you skip the first track?! LOL Second, I agree about the solo stuff. The only one putting out stuff that's creative and successful is T-Mac.I beleive they are still under contractual obligation to release at least one more cd. I read that a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure dc talk will be back sooner or later. Let's just hope it's sooner.I'm glad to hear that they have a contract to fill out. There's no way they can do a compilation album called "intermission" and expect people to be happy if nothing comes after the intermission.

Welcome To The Freak Show is an amazing live CD. I think it is the best Christian live CD ever (the best that I know). There is no weak track on that record, the band rocks and most songs sound better than in the studio version.
Of course, Jesus Freak is the best studio output.
