Has anyone ever heard of Lisa Daggs-Charette? I came across a song she did while I was at mp3.com. She plays "bluesy rock", kind of like a Bonnie Raitt sound. Really good stuff!! mp3.com says that she has won CCMA Entertainer of the Year and other Dove Awards and has had 8 #1 songs. How long ago was this and why haven't I heard of her before? I've been listening to christian radio since 1995, does she pre-date that? HELP!!!

I see that it has been awhile since you posted this so I hope that you are checking back to see if someone will post anything.
Lisa recorded her first album in 1991 called "Who Are You" and has recorded four more since then ("Angel In Your Eye's," "Love Is The Bottom Line," "Only Truth I Know," and "God Delivers") and is getting ready to record her newest project this year. She tours quite often and just got back to California from a nation wide tour. She also doses a couple concerts with the Gaithers each year and has been featured on three of the Bill Gaither and Friends Homecoming videos. She has won numerous awards including Entertainer of the Year for 1996, 1997, and 1998. She never won a dove award but she was nominated back in 1995 for her album "Love Is The Bottom Line". She has had 13 #1 radio singles. In fact her most recent radio single just went #1 this last week! At one time she was with two different record companies but now she is doing everything her self. She is now considered and indie artist. The reason you don't hear her music on the radio is because she doesn’t have hundreds of dollars that the record companies have to get the songs on the radio. Some stations do play her music but I think they are country stations in the south. I also know of one station in Holland that plays her songs as well. It never hurts to call your local radio station and ask then why they don't play her music!!
I hope that this helps you! The best way to keep in touch with Lisa and her ministry is to go to her website at www.lisadaggs-charette.com.
