I recently threw this disc in after having not listened to it for at least a good 18 months.

See, I tend to be naturally opposed to anything thats too popular or trendy, so I really got sick of hearing about this album 2 or 3 years ago, but when I listened to it again, I realized what a great project it really was. Top-notch production, great songwriting, and a killer vibe that sort of washes over the whole thing.

I'm still in rebellion against Jesus Freak though. I think it'll be a few years before I appreciate that album again. :)

Yeah me too. I tend to listen to a CD alot in a small amount of time and get sick of the songs. Around August I started listening to DC Talk again and forgot how good their work is.:)

Dude, that cd does not get NEAR enough credit. I think people were just expecting another Jesus Freak when it came out, and when they figured out that there was a slight change in style with it, they got disappointed by it. But, I love Supernatural, and I especially love "We All Wanna Be Loved." I love the funkiness that it has, it's cool. Makes me think of big afros and walking down the street with a camera angled at your feet with platform shoes and polyester bell-bottoms. What a song. Plus, anytime I say anything mean or angry to someone, that song starts playing in my head, and I cry inside. Then, I'm all, "Man, he just wants to be loved -- I'm sorry!!!!!!" So yeah, I love the album.

I love Supernatural. I really love the song
"The Red Letters"
Me and a friend are practicing to sing that.

Does anyone else here miss their rap days. I never was much of a rap fan, but DC Talk was the only rap I would listen to.

i haven't ever heard any of their rap stuff but you can get it for pretty cheap these days. supernatural does rock. even though it was one of the first singles from supernatural and i've heard it a million times, i still like into jesus. it rocks

Once in a while when I'm looking for a CD I haven't listened to and I'll choose a dc talk album, and I'm just addicted instantly. Then I listen to it too much, then I listen to it later, and it just continues.

That's why I call dc talk one of my "all time favorite bands". I'm never into them all the time, like I am with...say P.O.D. or somebody, but I've always liked dc talk.

Dude Supernatural has always been my favorite dc Talk album. I love every song on it except I don't really like Godsend (don't everyone cuss me out at once!!). But yea the CD is awesome. It has a sense of tranquility and yet electrifying intensity. And the album really comes together as a whole. Jesus Freak is kinda broken up with lots of different kinds of rock, and i like it, but I love Supernatural. And I hate how soooo many people are like "Supernatural sucks it's too mellow and slow" and I'm like come on! this album is genius all the way through. Their eyes just haven't been opened.....
