Skillet Bass?

I have gotten conflicting answers for the following question: does John Cooper play a 4 or 5 string bass, because I am a bass player and really like Skillet.

Thanks, cus I play four string, and I was wondering why some tabs are 4 and some are 5.it probably either boils down to the time period of the song (maybe at one point he was using 4 string basses), or it may just be that the tabber found that the song could be played on a 4-string and tabbed it as such.

Yeah, right now he plays a Traben Phoenix 5 string. Sweet bass, and it sounds amazing.

Lower. It's tuned BEADG instead of EADG.

Because the guitar on the new stuff is mostly Drop B, a BEADG tuned bass is probably what he uses.
