Well how much music do you have and how much do you listen to music. It's going to be hard to figure out unless we knnow some basics about your music listening life.

Me I have about 22gb's of music and my library's still growing.

I definitley say get the 30 no need for the 80 unless your at like 27 gigs and your library is still growing or if you have over 30gigs then I would go 80.

Keep videos in mind, too. I have days and days worth of music and don't even use 10 GB of my 30 GB iPod. But if you're going to put movies on it you may run out much more quickly.

I have around about 5k+ music...That's just about it..My only problem is that people say that a 30 gb ipod has a low battery life...And that tends to lessen if u frequently use the ipod..I'm not gonna put much of videos though. Maybe around 2-3 and some music videos..That's about it.
*Btw how big is a movie on an ipod?
also music videos? :) Thx =)

I put Talladega Nights on mine and I think it was a little under 600 MB. That was a ripped DVD and compressed with Handbrake. I'm not sure of the size of a movie you buy from iTunes.

My iPod is the 30GB model and I haven't had any trouble with battery life. I can use it for about two weeks on a charge listening about 30 to 45 minutes a day and also using it about another solid hour at least once a week. That's just music, though. I'm sure video sucks the battery life.

get the iskin evo. Look for it on the apple store. IF I could by any case that would be it. Its got a good protection and it can still go in the dock with the case on.

Like they said, it depends how much you're gonna get. I have about 8 gigs music and 4 gigs video. I guess if you're gonna want tons of full-length movies or even more TV shows then get the 80 gig, but the idea of needing that much space is just crazy to me.

Btw, can the ipod's battery be replaced easily? I mean..are there some stores which could replace ur ipod battery if it wears out? COz tons of people say that after a year or so, the ipod's battery would die..

*btw, the iskin evo case is so...expensive..:-/

I'm not sure of the size of a movie you buy from iTunes.
I have a 42 minute video from off iTunes, and it is 468 megs. So its a little over 10 megs per minute.

My current iTunes playlist has 67.23 gigs, and I don't have tons of videos on it.

yes you can replace the battery but its better if its under warranty to have apple do it. But if its out of warranty check this site I saw on yahoo

I've had mine since november. My sister has had her ipod mini for 3 years and the battery is just now going to need replaced pretty soon. So dont worry you should be really good for awhile.
