Excellent vocals. The drums however, and their constant half time tempo, are nothing short of aggravating. Half-time tempo can suck the life out of some songs.

Great vocals, great melodys. Solid mucisionship. The half time drums are the only real downer. I give it a 6.

Great CD, loved the way a lot of the songs went together. Let Go...had some very brilliant parts. Great hook, great outro. The slower songs were also pretty nice, and I loved Already Over Pt. 2...they also use strings well.

This is one of my favorite CD's...the strings and piano blend perfectly with the guitar.I thought the drums were average,nothing great,but they didn't ruin the CD either.Very good vocals as well.

I just relistened to Breathe Into Me and it sounds terrible. The vocals sound like hes trying to be tough but come off as whiny. The rest of the song sounds like every other boring Nu-Metal band out there. There's just nothing about them that stands out. Ive listened to quite a few of there songs and feel the same way about all of them. If there is a particular song that really stands out please let me know.

I like those bands. And don't be deceived into thinking that Deftones and Chevelle suck, because they do not.

Well, just because you hate all nu-metal except for those two doesn't mean the genre sucks. Korn's first album was good, Limp Bizkit's first CD was tolerable, Project 86 is great, Deftones is awesome, and old-school Chevelle was great. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them.

I don't particularly care for Red too much.

I really don't like this cd all that much. The singing is good, but if these guys had some rapping, they'd be a copy of Linkin Park. But, Linkin Park would still be better because this guy has the weakest scream I have ever heard.

Amen and amen. He seemed to scream at the wrong time every time, too... like, in the middle of a sentence instead of the end. Or beginning. It was just poop.

It's boring, been done before, and generic.

I don't get why you call them 'unoriginal.' They mix strings in with a creative use of screaming thats not quite as hard sounding as other bands. They also do a good job of using a piano and giving some of their music an eiry sound, which I like. And they have a good use of effects too.
Plus, they have good lyrics, their lyrics actually mean something, and flow pretty well.
Linkin Park raps, yeah, but whoever writes they're lyrics needs to take a literary class.

Exactly. He seriously has one of the worst screams I've ever heard. I thought some of The Used's screams were a little weak, but at least that guy can let out a growl. The guy from Red's scream sounds out of place.

They are unoriginal because everything theyve done has been done before by better bands. The scream is weak, he isnt doing it on purpose, hes just bad at it, his singing is whiny, and their lyrics are nothing special either.

I was impressed from the first time I heard this band. Whiny, hmmm. I hear passion in his voice. He has purpose and meaning in the lyrics. I appreciate that they know why they do what they do. For the glory of God!

just got this bands CD on my iPod, i think these guys are pretty good. guitarwannabe, i like "Wasting Time" the best on their CD, its got some good solid music and good lyrics. they are not my favorite band, but they are pretty darn good. cant wait to see these guys as they progress.

Cd grew pretty old pretty quick. Almost every song is too long - if you're a normal rock band, don't try writing a bunch of 5 minute songs without more ideas. The lyrics suck most of the time too.
Average quality. 6/10.

I don't think he sounds whiny at all. It sounds to me like he is putting all he has into these songs. I can understand why people would think that, but as someone else said, I hear passion more than anything.

I think they would be just another rock band without the strings and production work. The strings on nearly every track add to the message of these songs, IMO. And their lyrics aren't anything amazing, but they are well written and do not come across as preachy. However, their faith is still evident.

Even though this is a hard rock CD, I think the strings and timely use of acoustic guitar make this CD stand out.
