A crazy band with a wide variety of influences from Rage Against the Machine to Led Zepplin to even Vanilla Ice.They have a style that really touches every end of the music spectrum and takes a little getting used to.But definitely a good band. http://www.myspace.com/familyforce5

Oh, come on... You've got to give a little credit to a band with the lyric "Tank top, your ball cap, you think you're all that, but you're lookin' like Scott Stap. Just another redneck from back in the woods..."

I sit here and listen to their cd "Business Up Front, Party In The Back" and I think "I shouldnt like this music" but I do.Such a variety of styles seen in their music its crazy. The lyrics are a little childish in the way they are written but maturity will more then likely come with time.

definately my fav song that ive heard so far from them i had to listen to it like alot this morning when it came on the radio (on my tivo i love the rewind button) and a band as fun as them isn't supposed to be amture its supposed to make you dance and laugh and sing and scream your head off cuz its are fun! you know if djs played stuff like them at places like prom they would have all of the hip hop, hardcore, emo, and pop, and maybe even more kids dancing. :yep:  :giverose:

Love Addict definitely is a good song. It's like.. as someone else said before, Rage Against the Machine and all of those people. But, another person it sounds most like is actually that Marilyn Manson guy. Hard to believe, yeah, but listen to Love Addict and you'd see. It's a great alternative to bad music, though. And the thing that stands out in Love Addict is where it says, "Oh yeah, it's better than drugs, in fact, it's sent from Above." That convinces me that they're more like Relient K. They just have... some crazy, pointless songs, but still have sort of a hint of God. Very subtle, but it's in there. I'd also recommend Family Force 5's Replace Me. Kids In The Way are definitely the new and improved/better/uplifting/Christian brother of My Chemical Romance. Subseven is just.. awesome. And Falling Up is well... going up. Flyleaf is awesome, yeah. Desciple is great, too. And Run Kid Run. ^_^ God bless, everyone.

I don't know if I'd say Rage Against The Machine is bad music. I have two of their CDs and I listen to them a lot. Yeah, Family Force 5 is good and "Love Addict" is an 'interesting' song, but I'd still put Rage above them. Marilyn Manson, however, sucks like a vacuum.

Did anyone see them on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson? They were crazy. (They sang "Love Addict") After their song they took guitars and baseball bats (along with Craig Ferguson) and smashed up the place. It was crazy.

I dont know how anyone could NOT like FF5. they are one of the most unique and best bands i have ever heard. i dont know what u'd call the vocals - its kinda halfway between rap and singing, but its awesome. when i first heard "REPLACE ME" on the radio, i went out and bought the album within a couple of days. Like someone else said - they will pleae both rock and hiphop fans.

The whole song REPLACE ME is about replacing yourself with the holy spirit and letting gos take care of your life instead of having control all the time.
I think that the best christian music always has christian themes placed discreetly in the lyrics. that way, christians and non-christians alike will listen to it but have different interpretations of the lyrics. many ppl i knowdont like christian music cos of the lyrics but if the themes are placed in there discreetly, so that only christians will pick them up, there will be lots more ppl listening to the music.

Cheers, Davo

Family Force 5. I'm suprised no one has started a thread about em yet. This quintet of "Krunk Rockers" is straight out of the A-T-L.

Soul Glow Activator aka Solomon Olds- Lead Vocals, guitar, dancin' keys, and whutnot!

Crouton aka Jacob Olds- Lead Vocals, drums, hair flippin', noise jargen, and fried grits!

Phatty aka Joshua Olds- Background Vocals, bass, stage divin', violent dancer, The Centipede!

Nadaddy aka Nathan Currin- DJ, percussion, keytar, cabasa killin', beat maka!

Chap Stique aka Derek Mount- Guitar, rock fists, high fives, water spitting, strength projecting, '80's pinch harmonics and snakeskin boots!

That is the band's intro. They completely redefine "Southern Rock". Amazing talented musicians playing through Gotee Records.

Yeah. I saw FF5 in concert. Not my style of music at all. Wasn't impressed. The weird guy dancing on stage who I found out was their manager was just a little bit on the strange side imo.

No one's posted on FF5's thread since December? Wow. These guys are some of the most entertaining entertainers out there on the Christian rock concert circuit right now. Yeah, their songs are a little hoaky, but who cares? It's fun! And they do have a few really good songs about God, like Facedown and Replace Me. My friend and I saw them at a Dove Awards after party this year. They only played three songs, but that's all it took to get us hooked! Their debut CD, especially the extended Diamond Edition, is awesome for roadtrips! (Just watch that speedometer!) I can't wait to see them play again. And to keep you entertained between shows, they have their Really Real show. This is little videos they make and post on their MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/familyforce5). Amature, yes, but pretty funny. So what I'm trying to say is if you like a fun time, don't count these guys out until you've seen them live.

i love the first half of their cd, especially kountrey gentlemen...
but the second half reminded me of nsync...which scared me.
too much "girls" and "dance floor" blah blah

but i've heard they rock live

Hmm...so, I've had a re-listen to them, still haven't bought their DC, but had a look at their Purevolume. And I've got to say, "Earthquake" kinda turned me off. When I saw them in concert, the guy said that song was about God's love for us. Ri-ight. So explain that part about the girl who looks like a supermodel...God's love for us, you say?

Has anyone here listened to Face Down by them? If you just listen to the lyrics, you'll know they're a christian band. All the other songs mentioned are also pretty good. I started listening to them like 2 months ago and I'm hooked.

Definitely right about Face Down, also Replace Me and Never Let Me Go...not sure why he said that about Earthquake...
