WOW, I got rocks won't cry a while back, great album, I REALLY want Salvation Still Remains, I heard a couple songs on it, sounds a lil more folky than RWC, grassrootsmusic doesn't have it, you know where to get it?
You can get it at www.independentbands.com.
Honestly, I love Shane as well as his music, but Salvation Still Remains didn't impress me much. Just a heads up. It sounds like it was produced in a trash can.

All I know is that Salvation Still Remains is great! I'll agree with the trash can thing Luke:) but the lyrics and vocals...wow. I like em. Also, I gotta give Shane some credit on this - I heard he wrote the songs on that CD a week before it was supposed to be recorded. (Anyone wanna back that up? Or shoot it down? I'm not sure that's true.) Anyways, Shane and Caleb were an awesome duo and Shane/Shane are incredible as well. Gotta love those guys for what they're doin for God:)

Salvation Still Remains was recorded in a living room--they didn't even have a click track! I still love it, though!!
His newest album, Psalms, is about to be re-released on a wide scale. They've added some to the new Psalms, so i wouldn't buy the old one.
Rocks Won't Cry is definitely my favorite of his.
Yes, I knew it was recorded in their house, but that doesn't make it sound any better. Like I said, they may as well have produced it in a trash can for all the crappy echo on it.
Right now Shane's trying to figure out what songs will make the Psalms rerelease. He doesn't have room for everything he wants (CDs are only 72 minutes :D). He said he's thinking about having Praise the Name of Jesus and We've Come to Declare be the two songs he axes, although You Said is another possiblility for getting nixed due to the whole out of context issue (which I finally got around to pointing out to him--he said he was glad he didn't write it because he'd have to shoot himself in the head).

actaully, Everything Is Fine is my favorite song by them and i like the SAlvation Still Remains version of Breath of God a bit better thant he Rocks Won't Cry Version. but over all it doesn't sound so great.
Well, Salvation Still Remains was produced at Caleb Carruth's house (and sounds like it was produced in his trash can), so nothing on that CD sounds particularly amazing...

For those of you in College Station, Shane/Shane will be playing here in the very near future. I didn't think to write down when as I assumed that I could find the information on his website, but alas his calander section is down. Anyway, I think the tickets are like $12 at rudder box office? and everyone that goes gets a CD, possibly a new release (don't quote me on that last part). Anyone with info, some help would be great. My roommate would love to see him I'm sure, but I can't very well tell him about it if I don't know myself. har har well, ya. peace.
