I really don't know! I will go with Line 6 though because I have one of their amps.

Out of that group, Boss wins for effects that are cool for guitar. For effects that are cool for keyboards and vocals, I'd give it to Roland... For effects overall (although they don't make much for pedals), I'd have to say that a rack-mount Alesis unit is pretty much industry standard.

All around, I think Boss has the best quality. I think Vox makes the best Wah Wah though. That's the one Eric Clapton used to record "White Room". It wails. Wish I had one. Other notable classics include the Ibanez tube screamer and the MXR phase shifter. The overdrive on my Marshall amp is a favorite of mine too.

Boss is by far the best effects company for guitars. Distortion, blues driver, reverb, chorus, and eq make a good combo for praise...hehe

How about Sampson Technologies(maker of Zoom, Hartke, maybe DigiTech? I have 2 Zoom pedals(506 & 708), but I think DigiTech rocks, because it has more stuff in it-check out the BP8 Paradigm(i want one). How about JamBass from KellerBass Inc?
Though not a pedal(MIDI controller & Bass Synth), it creates some effects that rock. Check it out at www. jambass.com:cool:

I voted for Danelectro, because their mini pedals are pretty good and the price is excellent...

No question about it...Boss baby. You can run over them with a truck and they'll still work for you.

The very first single pedal effect I bought was a Marshall Super Vibe. I used it for a day before it broke down. I had a lot of chorus in it but was way to delicate. Boss on other hand is a good mixture of qality in sound and craftsmanship. As the bro. above said, you can run the over and they'll still work

I agree with the other guys;
BOSS makes some sweet pedals.
If you're looking for effects in an amp,
AMPEG makes really good digital effects,
although it's not on the list.

If you believe in a democratic society, I do believe Boss wins.

Electro Harmonix and Dunlop.
Vox, Guyatone and Fulltone are decent.

It really depends on what effect you want..... i think boss makes the all around best pedals. I like line6's pod preamp though.

Nate, Boss is owned by Roland just like DOD is owned by Digitech
and toneworks by Korg
Have fun

I haven't tried BOSS pedals too much, but I used a DOD Death Metal and either the battery was dying or I dunno what, but it just didn't seem very good and plus it felt like I could smash it.

Boss. I own a Zoom MultiFX processor. It's a piece of garbage. I also own a Line 6 POD. I love it, but you cannot say that Line 6 is a good FX company. All Line 6 effects are modeled after something else. Their best effects are modeled after Boss pedals though. The metalzone is an incredible distortion pedal. All of their chorus pedals are great. The Supershifter is cool to sing through. They even have a good auto wah pedal, and nobody can pull that off. My brother used to have a DOD Death Metal distortion...that thing sucked.

Hehe...ironically enough, the only thing I found the Death Metal any good for was punk distortion because it was really that heavy...of course it didn't help that my amp sucked at the time.
