You can check out my opions on Elixirs on my "Elixir Fuzz" posts
But I'm trying to find out your (experienced) opions on other strings.
Gibson strings sound really nice on my Acoustic (It's a Yamaha FS310)
D'addario sound TERRIBLE (like scratching your nails on a school board kind of terrible)
And Elixirs sound okay but there's the whole "Fuzz conspiracy" thing going on...

I here that Mac (Powell) plays with Ernie Ball, have any of you ever heard them on a Dreadnought Acoustic?

what would you recommend?

what you need to check out is guild strings, I started using them recently and they're just freakin' awesome.

hrmm...D'Adarrios sound bad? News to me. I've mainly used Ernie Ball Earthwood 80/20 bronzes and D'Adarrio extra light phosphor bronzes. Let me tell ya, I think the D's are much much better than the Ernies...but basically that's just me

Would you guys mind also posting what kind of Acoustic you play (Dreadnought/Oversize etc.) The gauge also might be helpful although I'll probably always play with 13's cos I'm a heavy strummer at times...

I use my D'adarrio's on a Mitchell MD-100 Dreadnought. I thik they are 11s or 10s. All I know is that they're extra lights. I don't feel like getting up to see the package
