I can sing on key and everything, but I can't sing loud or strong!!!
Is there a way I can change that ... or am I just done for???

The voice is an amazing and beautiful gift from God. It's so amazing how much sound it can produce, i.e. a well-trained opera/ classical singer can sing over a 60-piece orchestra and still be heard--it's amazing!!! What is also cool is that they're only using about 10-20% of what the voice can really do. Just thought I'd share.
In your case nothnbutclay, we all have different voices. Don't push your voice to make sound or to be loud; the more you relax, the louder and freer your voice will become. A good recommendation would be to take voice lessons; find a good teacher, and you'll see there's probably more power there that you don't know about.
God Bless!

my choir teacher suggested to me to press on my stomache, not really hard but hard enough (make sense?) (somehow that's supposed to help...) it worked for me...

make sure that you are breathing correctly, when you inhale, your stomach should push outward, your shoulders should not move. if you breath correctly then it should help you sing louder.
when in doubt, turn up the mic ;)

Yeah, all the advice given is great. Some technical stuff... another major thing is whether or not you're singing from your heart... a motivation thing... ;) I've had this problem... and some of the best advice I've ever been given is "Sing your guts out, babe" From a professional, mind you. She said, and she's right, that alot of this can't be taught. It's something between you and God...
Now see, this could be entirely off topic for you. But it's what helped me.
amen danalyn! i would say though that breathing is definately the key to strength (and everything else!) good breath support is essential. i just started taking voice lessons and i'm learning a lot! i recommend getting a good voice teacher! good luck!

HEY! THANX for all the replys, and yes, I finally got a voice teacher who would actually come out to my house -- :) -- and I've learned that breathing definitely is " essential " . :)
-- BTW DREW -- "Dance like no one's watching " I really like that. :D
