Hey,
I'm looking into buying a wah pedal, but I really don't know anything about them. So I was just wondering what some of you would reccomend. My friend has a dunlop cry baby and he loves it. So please let me know what kind of wah you would reccomend.
Thanks

Dunlop :). They set the standard for wah pedals. There are a few other brands that sell wah's for a little cheaper, but they sound cheeper too. Go for da Dunlop baby!

I say Dunlop Crybaby Classic.
Dunlop Crybaby Classic is an uneven, tonally unbalanced wah. It has a very uneven sweep and crazy mud/treble points on the pedal. That said, this may be what you prefer, and it really is a classic and favorite of many guitarists. I personally use one.
If like a really creamy, clean sweep with short travel, go with Vox, or the Dunlop 535Q.
I personally stay away from Morley.

I have a Dunlup and a Morley bad horsie 2 (vai's wah). I prefer the Morley for several reasons - a) It sounds better b) the switchless design is way easier c) it has a wider range.
The ultimate wah would be a rack unit, but most of us can't afford that ;)

Rocktron Black Cat Moan.
I'm HEAVILY biased towards Rocktron, but there is NO denying that this wah is built like a tank. Construction-wise, it makes a Crybaby or Morley feel like a toy.
It also has the special "moan" effect (nifty!), a classic (Crybaby) wah effect, and works as a bass wah also.
In short, it smokes.

i think this thread was created before the effects forum was created.
needless to say, i think blakeman already got his answers.

Do not resurrect old threads unless there is a legitimate reason to do so.
:) Clopsed.
