The other night, I dont' know what happened, but my phone broke. To hear anything it has to be on speaker phone. At first I thought the ear peice was broken, but if I can hear it jsut fine through it on speaker phone, I figure it isn't that. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong with it? It is an LG VX6100

i can't really help if it's a software problem, and sadly, even if it's a hardware issue there may be little i can do.
if, after you've made certain this is not a software issue, you're not afraid to open it up, open'er up and have a look inside. you'll be looking for something along the lines of something causing a short, or a melted, discolored or in any way suspicious-looking components. however, even if you can determine that a component has gone bad, it would be easier to get a new phone or to deal with the problem than to fix this one, as a new chip or film resistor/cap would be both difficult and expensive to repair on your own.
