Good call aboot creating a new thread.

When I saw MTTE it definately motivated me to write more piano oriented songs. It really makes a difference to write songs on piano first then put them in guitar arrangement for me. Piano is my real love anyway, I have been playing for 10 years.

Mike Herrera and Tom Wisniewski from MXPX have the best tatoos I have seen.

Yeah, totally. For a while I thought that I mighy be a songwriter, and not go for the band-- but soon I realized the people most successful at selling songs are the piano-people. People who can play piano rock--I'm thinking about buying some books and a cheap keyboard, maybe play around with it a bit.

And yes, those tattoos are amazing. And the lip piercings make me weak at the knees. But there's something about the simplicity of Brian's tattoos that I simply love! Three stars down the forearm... I love it.

And I have to mention again.
Matt's jacket is awesome-- he shops at Value Village. (as do all rK boys) But I particularly enjoy Matt's taste.
And Dave is... well... he's still hot.

So Mike/Micah/Chris....you're about as big a Relient K fan as anybody (including myself, of course)...but I haven't heard anything of this particular matter yet...(or also to anyone else who may know). Are MTTE coming out with an actual album any time soon? I haven't read/heard anything about it, but that would be killer awesome if they did. I kinda dug The Ben Folds Five before, and now MTTE sound a lot like that and it's a bunch of Christian guys, so that makes it ten times better...not to mention that it's M@, Matt, and Brian! So anyway....on that note sort of....anybody got the Christmas song "I Hate Christmas Parties" by MTTE? Got it...love it. I actually need to get that whole Happy Christmas v.3 CD because they seem to be quite good each year. Also, the RK song "Santa Claus Is Thumbin' To Town" is hilarious as well....

yea... i love that cd. i work at a christian book store, in the music section.

Whenever my manager leaves for the day (about 5) i go pull some on the happy christmas cd's off the shelve and play them though the department.... sometimes ill grab Juliana Therory, Rk, or even philmore.

Nothing scheduled as far as I know... I am sure if they are going to make an album then Locker57 would know before me. Todd said he heard a few demo songs by them, but those are only in the hands of 'higher ups'.

since everyone seems so motivated does anyone feel like writing out the music to "I Hate Christmas Parties" i have been trying to do it cause i used to play piano but i haven't played for like 2 years so its a little hard..
oh yeah and i think brian's tattoos are cool too...so simple...but do they stand for anything?

Of course there are a couple variations and the timing is different, but I'm pretty sure it's the same progression.

It's like a bowling jacket! It's awesome. I think it's got the name "Bob" or "Bill" on the left chest. And he's got the bowling team name on the back-- I'm pretty sure. I only saw him wear it once, it was at concert here in Seattle. I loved it. I dunno if he still has it, but I know it was a great jacket. And I also know he loves Value Village, as most of us do, and I figure that's where he got it.

His tattoos are EXTREMELY common in the 'emo' scene. Stars are very cliche in emo...not to say cliche in a bad way...i love Brian's tattoos and have considered getting something similar, except one star on each forearm. Sadly I'm about to graduate from college in a year or so, and I need to look "decent" to get a "real" job. ::sigh:: But yes...they are cool. I think Brian needs plugs in his ears to complete the look. I love plugs. mmmmm.

speaking of tats, my boyfriend Davy has the COOLEST tattoo i've ever seen. Does anyone know that drawing of Jesus holding a lamb? It only shows his face and his hand...the hand has a nail mark in it...and he's hugging a lamb. Anyway, Davy has that tattooed on his shoulder. mmmm. boys with tats = hottness. Davy = hottness x 1000.

Okay, I'm going to act like I know what "plugs" are and move to a different subject as this seems to be the 'random' RK thread...

On the note of "I Hate Christmas Parties" and "Santa Claus Is Thumbin' To Town"....does anyone have the lyrics for these? Mainly for the second one, but both would be nice. The problem is that I can't for the life of me figure out what M@'s saying in the very first line of the chorus. Sound something like "Because ________ can cause a folly" or something like that...just can't make it out. The rest of it I have the words to, but that part is annoying me!

really? i've only seen him with hoops. Nifty. I dig plugs...but i don't like any bigger than a 2g usually.

To those who are unsure as to what plugs are...they're usually plastic or acrylic earrings that come in different sizes. A 2g is about the size of a pencil or a straw...they're just plain, often black, earrings. There is no design to them; they're just round. I don't know how to describe 'em really.

I agree... plugs are very punkworthy and would look excellent on Brian. You know who looks really good with them? The lead singer of Incubus. If you don't know who I'm talking about, (if you haven't, you must live in a whole--:D), just look them up in your search engine. No doubt they'll show you pictures and you'll see what "plugs" we are talking about.
