Oh yes! And DO NOT forget "Comfortably Numb," "Wish You Were Here," or "Have a Cigar." :D Pink Floyd is way up there as far as bands I respect.

comfortably numb - the solo - wow.
in the flesh (1st one) - AMAZING!
the whole DSOTM album. excellent.
funny floyd story - i was letting my friend hear DSOTM and when the helicopter sound effect comes on, he was looking up in the air and out the windows for a helicopter. Well, it was funny when we all ridiculed him for days.

We did the whole Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd coicidence in Math this year. Its really weird. I dont think that Pink Floyd is all that great... maybe if I was high or something though. Why don't they sing very much?

the point is to create a laid back feel, spacy. If you want to hear them sing quite a lot, listen to the wall. Not literally, listen to the album.

I bought Echoes today and it is sweet. I do think that it should have had "Welcome to the Machine," "Have a Cigar," and "Dark Side of the Moon," but oh well. It is still really good.

it was all members of the band ever who voted on what songs to include, and they don't even know what their best work is! lol

I love Pink Floyd! I love Part I and II of Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Great instrumentals. Wish You Were Here is the best song right up there with Welcome to the Machine.

I think they tried to cover all of their career too much instead of just putting the best songs there. Some of the really old wasn't great in my opinion. I still like it though.:)

yeah, thats what i was thinking travis, they put in too much stuff from before they discovered the pink floyd sound.

This is a sweet image... and I love this song.
Whoa, that is sweet.
Plink Floyd rules. Their music is so spacy and psychedelic. It's easy to go to sleep to.
pink floyd in my opinion is the greatest band of all time. everyone of there albums (up to the point of roger waters leaving) are great. their early work with sid barret ala piper at the gates of dawn and saucerful of secrets are the two most inovative albums ofall time. also it is a known fact that dark side of the moon is the greatest album of all time (it spent 745 weeks on the bilboard top 200 chart. that is something like 14 years!!!!!) peace
I was amazed at that very fact the other day as I was doing some research on a music website.
I don't think any other album has managed to do that for so long.
i dont think any band will do it again. the second highest of all time was i believe the eagles greatest hits and it was somewhere at like 429 weeks. i love floyd

hopefully no one will ever achieve something like that again, any way. It is an honour Pink Floyd deserve.

I am partial to the glory years between let's say 71' MEDDLE and 83' THE FINAL CUT. I do like the other two studio discs that David Gilmour put out after Roger Waters left the band but the glory years rule. I also love the solo albums by Gilmour and Waters. I got to see Roger LIVE AND IN THE FLESH last year. VERY GROOVY........Doyle Bramhall was on the axe during Roger's tour. EXCELLENT SHOW
