the right hand tapping bit in the solo for in too deep is well cool. When the lead guitarist comes out of the water with the golden les paul and does the solo in the video.

Can you believe their parents told them they were too ugly to be successful as a band?! What's up? I mean, what do looks have to do with musical talent? I am so happy for them and their success. Not to mention, they're not even bad looking! I admire their perceverence. I don't exactly look like a rocker either, but I won't let that stop me from playing. Congrats to sum41. Whoever posted this is the awesomest.

in an interview for Q magazine (music mag in uk), they said that they're name means Satan's Unsung Minors, and that the 41 was the new number of the beast. I have a feeling however that they were just trying to provoke a reaction.

I think that's just playin around....if they were serious they wouldn't be that clean.....not sayin they are the cleanest band....but they're not bad....I think that's what the whole introduction to destruction thing was about....

my band has had people tell us we're too ugly to be a success, they don't know what our music is about. they won't try to listen. anyways...

Well, don't let it discourage you! Five Iron Frenzy was voted Ugliest Band at their Battle of the Bands contest, and now look at them. Notice that most of their CD's don't have pictures of themselves, and their music is amazing. There are ways to let your music be heard.

I think most bands are that way, anway! Not everyone's pretty or looks like a rocker. (Check out the Recent Pics! thread. I'm niether!!!) But I don't think any of us is ever going to stop rocking. We'll always play.

I will be tearing up my guitar until the day I die!!! And I hope you will too.

yeah, I hope to be one of those old guitar shop guys who can play anything by anyone and then a few more, know everything about music and guitars, and possibly the mandolin, and get to spend all day messing around with guitars.

i think that there style is more towards the punk lines but trying to stil pull the poser bands crowd and its working... but i was introduced to the band buy another member of these boards Pritti nikkie she let me watch the video for fat lip and yes that is me in the robot costume!!!! ok its not but i have sk8ed that way
