Could anyone tell me any bass scales or cool bass lines that i could play? I just got a bass guitar as an early christmas gift and i want to learn some stuff on it. So any help would be appreciated.:D

Im trying to learn more myself. I went and got a book, thats going ok, but I figure the best way to learn is to take lessons

Well, for some really easy stuff that sounds super cool and is super easy to play... Try a blues scale(I think that's what they are called) such as those found in Audio Adrenaline's DC-10

I don't know if you know tabs, so i'll just say how to play it.

(1st string is the string at the top, the closest one to you, 4th is at the bottom... nuff said, that's just how I do it, not really proper.)

on 1st string -> play open(ie. no fingers anywhere)
on 1st string -> play 4th fret
on 2nd string -> play 2nd fret
on 2nd string -> play 4th fret
on 3nd string -> play open
on 2nd string -> play 4th fret
on 2nd string -> play 2nd fret
on 1st string -> play 4th fret

once you get that down... you can do this(it's the same thing, except higher) :

on 2st string -> play open
on 2st string -> play 4th fret
on 3nd string -> play 2nd fret
on 3nd string -> play 4th fret
on 4nd string -> play open
on 3nd string -> play 4th fret
on 3nd string -> play 2nd fret
on 2st string -> play 4th fret

there ya go... simple and fun, and cool sounding!
