i want to know you guy's input on the subject. i am leaning toward the tone works. it has tons more effects, a feedbacker(really cool), for just a little more money. i know that multi effects are not as good as individual ones, but i need the most i can get for my money.
thanks

i voted for the rp200 cos i have an rp300 and it's great... i've never played the ax100g though.. so i wouldn't be able to compare them... i can just tell ya the rp200 is a great multi-effects unit for your money... but i'll have to say one thing... if the ax100g has feedbacker it rocks! :D i want feedback!!!!!!!! :D

I've owned two Toneworks products, the G3(way old) and the Pandoras box, I was satisfied with both. Obviously the box is not a pedalboard so it's just mainly for practice and/recording. If you like the way both sound, start comparing construction, you'll want the sturdier one the uses more metals.

Where's the box for NONE?

oh yes... must not forget jael's ideas that you should buy nothing but danelectro... even though you get less for your money and the sound quality isn't as good

I've owned a Korg AX1000G for almost a year now, and i must say that i'm EXTREMELY pleased with it. It's very durable, seeing as i've done just about everything to it: dropped, kicked, stepped ALL over, etc... And I also keep finding new effects or whatever all the time. Although i can't say i've found a feedback thingie on it. So if i were you, obviously i'd buy the korg. If you have any questions about it go ahead ask em!

But you know what? I take that whole post back because i thought we were talking about the 1000, not the 100. So i'll just bring down my post to this: I like all the korg products i have, and usually find the digitech stuff kinda cheesy.

my first "effect" ever was a ax1g(i knwo its not the 100,but the sound quality is the same, with the 100 you just get more useless stuff)i highly recommend the digitech rp series if your going the multi effects route, although single effect are much more pleasing to me ears and amp, multi effects can be nice.i still use my rp300 after my pedal board a pre-amp to my amp.the digitech rp line has great quality(not stomp box,but almost the best of multi's)and are very affordable.thats all im goign to say, soem peopel will swear by korg, but i do not,i sold the ax1g shortly after buying it,you WILL grow out of it if you grow as a musician.

I have the ToneWorks AX1000G (note: NOT the 100G), and like CynicalRepose, I'm also pleased with it. Very well-built, good quality, good tone. Only complaint I have is that the pre-loaded effects are somewhat lame. Even the Zoom el-cheapo 505 has better pre-loaded effects. I've actually resorted to going back to the Zoom a couple of times to get a little different sound that I've not been able to coax from the ToneWorks. My only other complaint is one that's been heard long and loud about it - any pedal effect other than volume disables the modulation effects.

I think if I was buying again, I'd go with the POD, though.
