Ok, sort of like with Guster, I really only expect guyforgod to reply, but it's all good.
If you've never heard of Ben Harper, check this brotha out. His music flows like a river and his lyrics are some of the most powerful around. I saw the band live last Feb. and was blown away by the emotion this guy has on stage. He played about 7 different guitars throughout the night. His unique thing is the lap slide but he plays acoustic and electric too. The coolest thing is probably that his music is more diverse than anyone I listen to. Just some of the styles he's experimented with are acoustic, delta blues, funk, soul and straight up rock and roll. Anyhow, if you like Marley, Hendrix, DMB or John Lee Hooker, check him out.
