(if anyone answers this, i'm sure it will be nestamanchris as we seem to have similar musical tastes, but here it goes. )
has anyone else ever heard of the jam-band Guster? they've opened for DMB before, but other than that they do mostly small-time touring i guess. BUT THEY ROCK! they're kinda a light college-rocks type sound. They have one acoustic guitar, and electric guitar, a bass, percussion, and a guy on the bongos. I've never seen them live but i friend of mine said that the dude on bongos plays so hard that his hands start to bleed... but anyways, i'm just curious to see if anyone else likes them, cuz i sure do!

HA!! I actually LOL'ed on that one, Brian. You're right, my man, I'm the only person (so far) to reply.
Guster's cool, not really one of my favorites, but I definitely like 'em. They played in Charleston a year or two ago and I got to see them then. I don't know if the bongo guy's hands bled, but he tore it up like no other (like most bands, they're better live). They played at Woodstock '99 too. That was actually the first time I'd heard of them. Anyhow, they're cool and so are we for liking the same music.

Hey now...gimme a chance...I just got finished with my exam so I wasn't here to reply! So yeah, Guster is cool. They had like one hit on the radio a couple years ago at least, but it was a cool song. I kinda dug them when I listened to the other stuff, but nobody really played them around here once the "cool" radio station got switched to R&B Oldies. They had another one called "The Airport Song" I think that was nice, too.
