Anyone know how to get a the tone stu gets when doing the octave solo in History Maker.
My teacher got close to it using a fulltone fulldrive and a ibanez ts10.
I'm trying to get that tone through my boss gt5 but I can't get it.
Anyone have any other ways of getting that tone? And is there a specific name for that tone? Because I would call it a smooth overdriven tone

ok,go to www.guitargeek.com,look at the setups for radiohead and collective soul(the one where ross uses lots of singles,in place of the one multi)but those together and you have delerious.

um,

overdrive(1-2)
phaser
chorus
envelope filter
distortion(light,nothign heavy)
tremolo
wah
octave(boss oc-2)

try that stuff on your multieffect, shoudl be able to get close, and if you use an eq,make the treble noticabley higher than the bass.

Turn up a marshall and hit the front end with a tube screamer. (actually I think that Stu uses a nobels OD great pedal and less than 50.00)

Use a gibson ES135 with P100's.

That tone is gonna be hard to comp with the gt5. What are you using amp wise?

about the tube screamer, stay away from the ts10.as to what you get,it depends on what you want,if you plan on modding it to ts808 specs, then get the ts9,but if you plan on using it as is,the ts7 sounds just the same as the ts9,and its 45$.the ts9 is easier to mod,so if you wanna mod it,get the ts9,if you liek the ts9 tone, get the ts7(and the 7 has the added option of extra gain, via the hotswitch)

thanks for the posts with the pictures. That really helps. I saw delirious live last year and his rig was a little different. I guess he changed his setup again. I remember the line 6 delay and and digitech wammy and maybe the tubescreamer but some other stuff seems new and some missing? I guess he changed his rig again for this tour. Thanks for your help once again. Now I know what I need to get.

Snooping around the "index" of pedalboard.com. There is an entire folder of Delirious pictures.

I was wrong, it was pedalracks.com. Here is a link to the folder: http://www.pedalboards.com/images/delerious/ I think there are some more pictures if you take off the /delerious/.
