Yesterday was a nice day so my brother and I spent about half the afternoon playing tennis. We are getting really good at it, or at least we think so. It is a fun sport. We must have played for two hours straight and I didn't really get tired, which is funny becasue I can sometimes get tired after kicking a soccer ball for about a hour. I did some work on my flintlock rifle, I am in the middle of polishing all of the brass parts. I am also in the middle of restoring a 1947 Tektronix 511A oscilloscope, we got it from a guy who's basement flooded. I don't know if the oscilloscope got wet but it was dirty so I am taking all of the vacume tubes out and I'm cleaning them along with everything else that I can clean without taking it apart. Ii bought a used engine for my RC truck on Ebay yesterday. I have never used a gas powered RC car before, all of the RC cars that we have had have been battery powered. Our dad was working yesterday so we didn't go to youth group, plus I wasn't feeling too well. I'm feeling about the same today. I'm hopeing that I will feel better tomorow so I can go to church, I hate skipping church. Well I have to go, I want to clean my desk before our mom gets up, see ya'll.

Well I think I'm feeling well enough to go to church, thank the Lord. It is a 45 minute drive to church for us but I don't mind because I love going to church. It is raining outside right now and I think it is supposted to rain most of the day. I can't beleve that it is October 1st already, my birthday is on the 31st. I am hopeing that we will be able to go to Harry's U pull it this week because all the doors are only $20 and we need two doors for the van. I am also hopeing that we will be able to go to the shooting range soon. Well I have to go and finish getting ready for church, see ya'll a little later.

I print the guitar tab for the songs off of this site. I also sometimes like to play along to some of the music on my computer. I plug the amp output to the microphone jack on my computer, that way I can play the guitar through my computer. Most of the music that I listen to I play with Windows Media Player. I might post some clips sometime.

Well we went to church yesterday and then Walmart, after that we went to a couple yard sales before heading home. When we got home my brother and sister and I played some tennis in the cul-da-sac for a while but then we had to go inside because it started to rain. I think we might go to the shooting range sometime this week, our dad said that he just has to pick a date for us to go. Our dad has a weird schedule, but it is nice becuase if he wants he can try to switch shifts with someone else, that way he can sort of choose when he is working. the only thing is that if someone calls off sick and they can't get someone to cover the shift then our dad sometimes has to work on a day that he was going to be off on. At church our pastor said that I guess they will be having the closing for the new land that we are buying on October 9th. well got to go, see ya'll

Yesterday the engine for my RC truck came in the mail. Brand new it would have cost about $90 so I got a used one on Ebay for I think it was $40 inculding the cost to ship it. I still need to get a couple more parts to finish the truck, I might try to cast some them out of alumunum. I am excited because this afternoon we are going to the shooting range:clap:. I can't wait to do some shooting with my flintlock, it is a fun rifle to shoot. You pul the trigger and there is a very short delay then there is a flash about a foot away from your face and then the main powder charge ignites and you get a three to four foot blast of fire out the end of the barrel. Someone on the freecycle list has a go-kart that they are trying to get rid of so hopefully we were the first to reply about it, if so then all we have to do is go pick it up. It turns out I am sick (I was hopeing I wasn't), I am coughing every once and a while. Well got to go, see ya'll

We went to the shooting range yesterday for a couple hours. I fired my flintlock for a while then I fired my brother's .22 rifle for a short time. Our dad brought his 9mm Bersa Firestorm, .22 magnum revolver, and .357 magnum revolver. Our dad also brought the Russin Mosin Nagant M38 that he has. I haven't fired the Mosin Nagant yet because it has a lot of power and recoil, but I fired every other firearm that we brought. We aren't going to youth group tonight because our dad has a meeting that he has to go to. One of the other guys who was at the shooting range had a very nice silver Porsche 911 in the parking lot. A big store called Country Junction about 15 minutes away burned to the ground yesterday morning so we are kind of sad about that. The owner of the store is already planing to rebuild, the value of the building itself (not including everything inside) was around $2.7 millon. Well got to go, see ya'll

Well yesterday we were going to go get flu shots but just as we were about to leave our dad called the place that was going to be give the flu shots. It turns out that they aren't going to be giving the flu shots for another two weeks, good thing we didn't get to the place and find that out then. My brother and I played some more tennis yesterday for a little while, but then we started to hear thunder so we went inside. We ended up having a pretty big storm with a lot of lightning and thunder, we got a lot of rain too. Some of the trees in our area are starting to change color and some have already changed color and lost a lot of leaves, it is really buitifull. Tomorow is going to be a busy day, we have to return liberery books and pickup something from someone in Sellersville and then my sister has youth group. If we have enough time we are also going to go to Harry's U Pull It and see if we can find two doors for the van. Well got to go, see ya'll

Well yesterday evening was exciting, we saw two bears! It looked like a mother blackbear and a cub. They where about 40' away from our front deck. Our dad was bringing some stuff inside from the van and he saw what he at first thought was the shadow of the one van, but it moved and it turned out to be two bears! I was able to record maybe about 10 seconds of the bears before the battery (which was aready very low) in my brother's video camera went dead. I am trying to build another furnace for melting alumanum. I was going to build a furnace that burns coal but I think I'm just going to build a furnace that burns wood. In two weeks we are going to go to a hamfest, so I am excited about that. We haven't been to a hamfest in a while. Hopefuly if it doesn't rain we will be going to Harry's U Pull It to look for a set of doors for the van. The cool thing about Harry's U Pull It is that you do everything yourself. You bring your own tools and find the parts that you need and remove them yourself. Another cool thing about Harry's U Pull It is that everything is $100 or less, which means if you need a engine you can get one for less than $100:D . I also want to get a new set of wheels for the van sometime. Well got to go, see ya'll

it is one of my hobbies. i like working with metal and i like fire so this is the best of both worlds:D i cast stuff with the alumanum. one thing that i am into right now is this thing called lost foam casting, which is really cool. you take a piece of styrofoam and make a paddern of what you want to cast and you bury itin sand and pour the melted metal on the foam.the heat from the metal melts the foam and takes it's place. the thing is you have to be careful because in order to melt alumanum the fire needs to be between 1300F and 1500F, a regular wood fire i think is around 600F to 900F. and another thing is you can't spill any melted metal on the graond if the graund is wet because the molten metal will cause the moister in the dirt to flash into steam, and splash molten metal everywere. it is dangeres but i am careful.

Well we ran out of time so we were not able to go to Harry's U Pull It. I am feeling a little better today, I'm not couthing as much. I think our neighbors Doug and Linda have moved most of their stuff to their other house because I haven't seen them at their house across the street very much for a couple days now. Our dad is working today so he took the trailer and chainsaw along with him to work. If he has any spare time he is going to cut down some of the dead trees around the station, cut them so they will fit on the trailer and bring them home for firewood. We have a wood stove in our house that we can use in case the power would go out for severel days (like if we get a really bad icestorm or something) but other than that we don't use it. We have a heater that burns fuel oil that we use to heat the house. It was a full moon last night on our way home from youth group so looking out the back window of the minivan I could watch the road just by moonlight since them wern't any cars behind us. The moon was so bright that it looked the same way it does like on a sunny day with sunlight shining through the trees, only it was moonlight not sunlight. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Well yesterday I moved the conversion van around a little bit, it didn't want to move at first. My brother and I managed to move down to the end of our driveway, but we had to use a crowbar. We moved it by hand at first because I wasn't sure that I could drive it since we had not moved it for severel months. It started right up which was good, I drove it around in the cal-da-sac a little bit and up and down the driveway a few times. It is so cool to drive, I was at the end of the driveway so I carefuly hit the gas and it roared up the driveway. I also parked our caravan in front of the garage so we can work on it. It is leaking transmistion fluid but at lest we know where it is leaking from. It is leaking from a gasket on the bottem of the transmistion. I had replaced the transmistion filter sometimes during summer and I couldn't tighten the one bolt all the way, so that might be part of the problum. Our dad brought home severel trees that he cut down at the station, so we have to cut it up sometime. The weather yesterday was really nice, it got up to 74F and it was October 9th. We were outside most of the day since the weather was so nice, we also rode our bikes for a while. Well got to go, see ya'll

Our youth group is going to try having a third youth group night on Sunday night, partly becasue there are a lot of kids who were going on Wendsday but can't anymore becuase of sports. I want to be able to play in the youth praise band but I wouldn't be able be there every week, mainly because of the wierd work schedule that our dad has. I am excited because we haven't been to a hamfest in something like two years I think, I love going to hamfests becuase you never know what sort of stuff will be there. I just hope that I don't get so focusted on the hamfest that I don't give the Lord my 100% at church, if that makes any scenes. I will post pictures a little later. Well got to go, see ya'll.

you can call me Joel if you like.....i like any mythbusters episode involging guns, or explosions....and large impacts(like the 2 semis sandwiching the car).....one thing i really like about the show is how they all have slight machining knowledge too...i like watching them build stuff....i work in a CNC machine shop....have you ever seen any of that kind of stuff ever?....it's really neat(although manual is better).....ok Joel, those are some of my favorite episodes also, my brother and i are really into firearms. about the machine shop, I have never been to one. i really wish that we had a machine shop at home, i would have so much fun:) . we don't have the money or space though. we looked at a small lathe at Harbor Freight that was i think like $200 or something, but it was a cheap lathe and it said made in china on it (not that all things that say made in china are cheap or anything). our dad used to be a pipe fitter and he knows how to use a lathe and milling machine. i like watching on Mythbusters when they use the machines in their shop to take a peace of metal and turn it into something, wether it is a part for launching a seat out of a car or making new parts for Buster.

i know not everything from china is cheap, but i would strongly recommend with machines to go with a europeen machine....they are very reliable....but it would depend in the end on what kind of work you were doing....if it's big tolerance stuff, you'd be fine(maybe) with a chineese machine....although any aisian machines i have ever worked on turned out to be bad experiences....but, i've never done anything more loose than +/- .010....if that makes sense(i expect it does).....if you want to see the kind of stuff i work on, go to Google Video, and type "CNC machining"....these are Computer Numerical Control machines....very cool stuff....

well yesterday was a kind of slow day. my brother and i played some more airsoft for a hour or two. i think i've been watching too much American Chopper latety becasue now i want to go build a chopper of my own. i have a bike frame that i am trying to turn into a motorcycle with a chainsaw engine on it. the only thing is that our dad doesn't want me to use the welder when he isn't home. we have three welders, the newest one is a 220V stick welder, the next is a 120V wire-feed MIG welder that uses a gas cylinder, and the third is a small 120V wire-feed MIG welder that doesn't use a cylinder. i am in the middle of fixing the small welder, the bearing that keeps tension on the wire and feed pulley needs to be replaced. we went to the hamfest on sunday which was alot of fun, the weather was nice also. it is going to rain today so i have to go put some stuff away outside before it does. well got to go, see ya'll

here's a question for you?....how does a MIG welder without a gas bottle work?...the gas(usually argon, right?) helps sheild the fresh weld from O2, right?....so without it, wouldn't it oxidize really easily during the welding process?...i like MIG welding...it's fun....i'be done that, braze welding, brazing, and Oxy/Acetelelyn welding....well, i guess all three but Mig are technically forms of Oxy/Acet....

right, the argon (or any inert gas) sheilds the fresh weld from O2 in the sorrounding envierment long enough for it to cool down enough. a gasless MIG welder doesn't use any gas for shielding, so the weld is exsposed to the O2 in the atmosphere.
i don't do much welding. my dad says that i should start by learning to run beads. it is a little bit harder then i first thought, but i'm getting better.

They rented a frontend loader with a backhoe to do the digging. I really wish we had a frontend loader with a backhoe attachment laying around that I could use. We rented a medim size frontend loader/backhoe when we were building our pool, I got to operate the backhoe for a short time which was alot of fun. Sorry I haven't updated my journal for a while, for severel days I was only able to log on to the forum two or three times, but each time I was busy doing other things at the moment. I am excited because today is my birthday (I was born at 5:20 something in the evening), plus the they are calling for the weather to be in the upper 60's today. We have been cutting down some of the dead trees around our house to use for firewood in case the power would go out (like because of a icestorm). It is hard work but it is fun. I was hoping that we would be able to rent a log splitter or something, but it looks like we are going to split the wood by hand. A friend of our dad's said that a truck carrying a load of coal overturned in his yard. From what he said they got the truck back on it's wheels and drove off, they left all of the coal in the yard. We might be going sometime to pickup some of the coal so that we can use it. We have a wood stove in our livingroom that we can use for heat if we need to. I know how to burn both wood and coal, so I think I could use the wood stove without too much trouble. We helped our dad clean the chimny the other day. Well got to go, but I will be back on a little later, see ya'll.

Well it looks like we are going to have a busy day today. My sister and I have a orthodoonist appointment this morning then we will be heading down to the valley to make a couple stops before we go to youth group. We are going to be taking cupcakes along to youth group since yesterday was my birthday. I got a wah Pedal which i have to admit i wasn't too excited about, but the more i use it, the more i like it (it was a great gift):yep: . We don't do trick or treating so for three hours yesterday we didn't have our outside lights on. We had our livingroom lights off also, so for three hours I was pretty much looking at my computer screen without any other lights, which isn't really good for your eyes (I think). I am thinking about buying a piar of heelys skate shoes sometime. I am exicted because TobyMac has a new CD coming out in febuery and they are playing the one song from the CD on the radio already. Well got to go, see ya'll.

I don't know what it is called but i'm glad that he has a new cd out. i noticed something with Tobymac's music, when ever he comes out with a new cd the next cd that comes out is a remix of the pereveus cd. the song that i heard on the radio is called Made to Love.

Well yesterday was fun. The orthodoonist appointments went well. I helped our dad fix one of the antennas that was damaged because of wind. We took cupcakes along to yough group and everyone liked them, everybody sang happy birthday for me which was really cool:). On my birthday there was a couple who was looking at our neighbor's house. They must be intrested in the house because they came over and intardused themselfs and asked a few questions about the area. I didn't meet them because I was inside working on some stuff, but our mom says they seem like a nice couple. Yesterday we stopped at a sports store called the Sports Authority because my brother wanted to look at their airsoft stuff and I wanted to look at skate shoes. They sell airsoft guns and skate shoes but they cost a lot. When we left the Sports Authority we heard what sounded like a alarm go off right after we went through the doors. We didn't buy anything and no one at the store said anything, so I guess it was nothing. Most of the leaves have fallen off of the trees around here. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Our mom and I are going to go get our flu shots this morning, We didn't before because we were feeling sick. Yesterday my brother and I split about half of all the firewood that needs to be split. I woke up early this morning because the radio station that I lisen to (the Word FM) has a thing that they do in the morning called the Morning Show which is from 6:00am to 9:00am. Today they interviewed John Cooper from Skillet. I usally lisen to the radio over the internet because we sometimes have trouble hearing the radio from where we live, although it is easier now that most of the leaves have fallen off of the trees. Other than that there isn't much going on right now. I can't wait until it starts snowing. We still have to fix the one gasket on the Caravan. The thing is that to fix it we need to drive the van up on ramps, but because there isn't any transmistion fiuld in it the van won't move until the engine is half way up through the RPM range. When it finely does engage the van lurches foword, which will make it hard to drive it on to the ramps. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Well my mom and I got our flu shots yesterday. We got two trailer loads of coal yesterday, we will be going to get more today. I thought that the truck that was carrying the coal had been going a little too fast and simply rolled over on it's side. It turns out what happened was the truck was coming down a hill and lost it's brakes, the driver was somehow able to drive the truck (without brakes) through a inersetion and then up our dad's freand's driveway. When the truck hit the bottom of the driveway (it is a steep driveway) it kept on going half way up the driveway, the truck would have gone farther but half way up the driveway is a right hand turn (going up the driveway it is a right hand turn). The truck ran out of room so it went up a embankment and ended up rolling onto the passenger's side. Luckly the driver wasn't hurt, because the truck must have been carrying a lot of energy. I will take some pictures today. We also drove by the Pocono Raceway which was cool, it is a big track. We can achuly hear the cars when they are racing, from our house. Well got to go, see ya'll.

well yesterday we went and got another trailer load of coal. since we had some free time we went and looked at a old railroad tunnel in Jim Thorpe. it is really cool, it is a short tunnel between 100 and 150 feet long and 20 to 25 feet high and wide enough for two trains to go through at the same time (side by side). they left some of the old railroad ties in place. we also looked at a old turn table that was built into the side of the mountian. the whole area is really cool, partly because of how old some of the area is. well got to go, see ya'll

Exactly. I mean, what happened in Chris' store is a perfect example. Guns aren't registered in a store, so all you have to do is steal them. It unfortunately makes others go to Canada,

Well, it's where everybody who bought a gun, would have it registered, and it was supposed to lower crime. That's how I understood it, maybe Joel would explain it better. :-/

So yesterday when we went down to see the doctor the weather was in the lower 70's and it was sunny every now and then. On the way home it rained so hard, it was amazing. On Wednsday we got the Caravan up on the ramps. The van had a dead battery so we had to charge it first. Khe engine kept stalling for some reason so our dad and I took it for short drive around the area. As we were backing it down the driveway the engine stalled (while moving) which ment the power brakes stopped working (when that happens you still have brakes, just not power brakes) and we rolled into our dad's 2000 Plymouth Voyager. We didn't hit it hard but it left a small dent right above the front right wheel. The Caravan it must also by leaking coolent somewhere because when I was pressing the gas peddel to keep the engine from stalling I was also making sort of a smoke screen, only it was steam, not smoke. Tonight and tomorow night there is going to be the Leonid meteor shower, which will be really cool, just as long as it isn't cloudy. They think it will be more then meteors per hour. We saw the Leonid meteor shower in 2001 and that was really awsome, we saw a lot of meteors and even a couple fireballs. The fireballs are cool because that are a lot brighter then reguler meteors. Fireballs are meteors that are about the same size as a grain of rice, reguler meteors are the size of a speck of dust. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Well not much happened yesterday. I am starting to clean out the conversion van. I have to be carefull though because there is a lot of mold in some areas and our mom says that I am alergic to mold. I don't know if I am or not but I don't really want to find out the hard way. It is furusterating because I want to fix the van, but then when I try I don't really know were to start. I need to clean up my computer sometime soon because I am going to be running out of room on my hard drive soon. Well yesterday I was sick. I started feeling sick not to long after I woke up. I felt like I was going to throw up so our dad gave me a pill that disolves under your tongue and that kept me from throwing up for a while, but I ended up throwing up early in the afternoon. After that I spent the rest of the day laying on the sofa trying to sleep, but I couldn't get conferabule and I would only sleep for a minute or two at a time then I would wake up. My brother and sister and dad spent most of the afternoon working on the roof of the shed, which I wanted to help with but couldn't because I was sick. Right before I went to bed I was really dizzy and my dad said that I looked pale, not fun. I am feeling better today though. Most of the time I set my alarm to get up but last night I didn't so that I could sleep in. I thought that I would prabuly sleep in till noon or something but I woke up at 7:00 and couldn't fall back asleep. Well got to go, but I will be back on through out the day, see ya'll.

Our dad got two used bikes for free last night, so I put some more air in the tires and rode the one bike up and down the street one or two times. Yesterday we were on the road a good bit of the day. It was really foggy yesterday morning and last night, and this morning also. We picked up the parts that we need for the Caravan yesterday, so I need to put the new gasket on the transmition. Yesterday we saw a lot of people out hunting. I'm not really into hunting, but it doesn't really bother me (if that makes any sense). Yesterday my dad and I went up to the one amubance because the heater wasn't working, but we were able to get it working. We got some of those "posted" no tresspassing signs that you put on trees around you property, so I'm going to go put them on some of the trees at the edge of our property a little later. Well got to go, but I will try to post some more a little later.

I put the no tresspassing signs up yesterday. I also did some work on the Caravan transition fluid pan ( scraped all of the old gasket off) and did the same with the part of the transmition that the pan bolts to. I guess they are calling for rain this afternoon and maybe a storm as well. It is also going to be windy, so I need to go tie down some stuff outside so that nothing blows around because we might get wind gusts as high as 55mph. It is so warm outside right now, it is the first day of December and right now it is 61°F. Well got to go, see ya'll.

We went to see the the Nativity Story yesterday, it was a very good movie. There were only 5 other people there who saw it when we did. When we left the theater we found out that the one light on the inside of the minivan had been left on and it ran the battery almost dead. Our dad checked the battery with a meter and found that it still had a little power. There wasn't enough power to start the engine, but there was enough power to set off the alarm while we were looking at it. We could not turn the alarm off because there wasn't enough power to do so, so we ended up ripping out the alarm speaker. Our dad called a friend who came over and helped us jump start the engine. It was pretty windy yesterday also, and we got some rain as well. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Well we didn't seeing anything last night, oh well. Someone on the freecycle list was getting rid of a bathroom sink so we went and got it. The cabenit under the sink in our one bathroom is a mess, it smells bad (I'm not sure why) and there is probuly mold or something because of water from the sink splashing and getting the whole thing wet. It is a mess so we are going to replace that also. We have a wireless router that was laying around so we hooked it up to the rest of the network, so now we have WiFi in our house. The other day after we fixed the Caravan our dad and I went for a short drive around the duvelipment were we live, he drove for a short time and then he let me drive the rest of the way. I think I'm getting pretty good at driving, but I don't like going any faster then 25MPH. I was driving (with our dad with me) on the one road near our home and I was coming up to a bend in the road and I started to steer and I suddenly noticed that I didn't have any power steering. The Caravan has a fairly quite engine and when the van is just coasting it can be hard to hear. Here what happened was the engine had stalled and my dad and I never noticed. So I just coasted to the next stop sign and then started the engine again. I want to make a bumper camera for the van, sort of like the bumper cam view from racing games. Well got to go, see ya'll.

Yesterday was a kind of dull day. I wasn't feeling too good most of the afternoon and evening, but I am feeling better today. We didn't get the freezer last night because our dad had to work till midnight because someone had called off sick. I think we are going to try to clean up some stuff outside around the house because they are calling for it to be almost 50F today. We got some snow the other day, just enough to cover everything. Most of the snow has melted by now. We also have a lot of stuff inside that needs to cleaned as well. I forgot that they were going to launch the space shuttle last night, I wanted to watch the launch on TV. I was too busy watching a new episode of Mythbusters. I tried installing Battlefield 2 on our dad's one laptop, but I can't get into the game. I think it is because the laptop doesn't have a video card, and our desktop PCs aren't fast enough to run the game. We have a computer that is fast enough but it doesn't have a video card or memory, so we have to get a video card and some memory for it. Well got to go, but I will try to add some more some time this afternoon, see ya'll.

We did some stuff outside yesterday and it was warm enough to wear shorts:) . We have a pretty big pile of sticks that we are going to use for starting fires in the woodstove. We are braking the sticks into pieces about a foot long and then wraping 12 to 15 sticks together with newspaper. I helped my sister bake two cakes because yesterday was our dad's birthday and then i made icing for the cakes. I tried to melt some metal yesterday and I did melt a few pieces. Right now I am using a furnace that I made using some large rocks for the walls. It isn't the best setup in the world, but it works. I want to build a better furnace sometime, one with a crucible that I can melt stuff in. Right now I just put the metal in with the wood that is burning and after a short time I usuly can get a pile of glowing embers that are hot enough to melt alumunum. Well got to go, see ya'll.

We had a busy day yesterday, our dad and I went and met a guy who bought a radio from our dad so he could pick it up. It was really foggy yesterday morning. We then went to the hardware store. We installed a new sink and vanity thing in the one bathroom. A friend of our dad came and picked up the freezer that we had sitting outside for a while. I was up really late last night because there was a lot of aurora activity and it was coming down south really far. I went outside and watched the sky for a while. I think I might have seen some aurora but it is really hard to tell. We saw aurora a year or two ago when there was a lot of solar activity, it was so awesome. The only thing is that a lot of the stuff like aurora and meteor showers and stuff happen during the winter when it is cold. It is kind of hard to stay warm while watching the sky when it is 40F or cooler, mainly because you don't move around very much. Our dad has a class today but when it is over he is going to come home and pick us up and take us down for youth group. Well got to go, see ya'll.

We went to youth group yesterday which was cool. My brother and I go to the middle school youth group night mainly to help out with stuff. We do stuff like making sure the Xboxes and PlayStation 2 are hooked up and we also setup the pool tables. I want to be able to help out at youth group every week but sometimes our dad has to work on a Wendsday or Friday. The wires on two of the dance pads for the PS2 are broken, so I am thinking about talking to our youth pastor about bringing the pads home to try to fix the wires. The one pool table has a couple plastic tubes that return the balls to the one end of the table after a ball goes in a pocket, but the one pocket is broken. I'm going to look into trying to fix that also. I fell asleep with my glasses on last night by mistake and when I woke up I found them in my bed but luckly they were not broken, athough the one lens had poped out. I found the lens and put both on my desk, and then while trying to find a screwdriver I somehow lost the lens, so I need to find that. Well got to go, see ya'll.

i haven't found my lens yet, i will probluy just get new glasses. i need new glasses anyway, anything was kind of blury with them. i'm overdue to see the eye doctor. how far did your arrows fly? the bow that i made is between 4 and 5 feet long, but it only fires arrows 20 to 25 feet.

Yesterday I made a thing that fires arrows, it is not a bow but it is like a bow. it looks something like this http://www.siege-engine.com/MistaBallista.shtml, only mine is a lot smaller. It only fires 5 to 8 feet for some reason, but then again we don't have any arrows so I'm firing long thin pieces of wood. I will try to post pictures of it later today. Well got to go, see ya'll, Merry Christmas everyone!

i just had to check that site out....i built a small trebuchet when i was in grad e 11....it was only about 3 feet tall, but man, was it fun....i actually plan to build a far larger one when i have a place to store it....although, i will be doing it out of metal to increase the counter weight load i can have...i can also make it almost completely disassembleable and being steel, i can really torque up the bolts on it....and now that i have a truck i can make the piece fairly large....i'm probably going to go for something in the neighborhood of 10 feet if possible.....

Well yesterday was a exciting day. We opened presents after everyone was up and then me, my brother, and our dad went to the Christmas morning serves at church. We also went the the one Christnas Eve candle light sereves. A little later we are going to go visit our grandfather for a little while. We were kind of late ordering some stuff this year so not everything came before Christmas, but I'm guessing that the stuff should come within the next couple of days. Well got to go, see ya'll.

well not much going on right now. our dad got a used boom box type radio, so now we have one of those. we have a bunch of stereo systems around the house. i haven't been playing my guitar lately because i'm grounded. i found the lens for my glasses a couple days before Christmas, but i'm not wearing them very much because the lens still pops out easly. so i only use them when i really need to. we brought the two broken DDR dance pads home from youth group on ensday, so we are going to try and fix them. it was kind of warm yesterday so my brother and i played some airsoft for a little while, one of the things that i got for Christmas was a Wather P22 airsoft gun. well got to go, see ya'll, Happy New Year!

Well yesterday was kind of slow, I hate slow days. As soon as it is warm enough I need to go drain the water from our spa. It takes a while to drain it so I need to start as soon as I can. When it is empty we have to clean it and then fill it again before it gets to cold. They are calling for rain and sleet tonight, so I also have to cover the van again (the wind blow the tarp off of the van last night). I got a new MP3 player for Christmas but I can't transfer any music from my computer to the MP3 player for some reason, so I want to look at that also. Well got to go, but I might be back on a little later, see ya'll.

here are some pictures of a snow machine that i made with help from my brother. it turned out to be more of a ice machine then anything else:lol: . i'm thinking it needs to be colder. when we were done the side of the minivan was coated with ice, it looked like it was hit by a real ice storm.
