Anyone heard of either of these two bands?
The Calling
Five For Fighting
The Calling sings a song called Wherever you will go...they're pretty kool sounding...
Five for Fighting sings the songs Easy Tonight and It's Not Easy (Being Me)....they're alright.....
If anyone has got their cd's tell me what you think....

Ive heard F.f.F.'s latest song "superman" or something like that.I think its ok.Have you guys heard the bands East West, Redline, and G.S. ("God Shaped") Megaphone?I think theyre cool.

Umm..Lion-O.... I've heard of East West and GS (God Sized) Megaphone...and I've heard of redline (but never heard them)...but they are CHRISTIAN bands....and the name of that song is "It's Not Easy"

ok, the 5 4 fighting song is called Superman (It's Not Easy) and it's a really good song!!!

Another good song is by Hoobastank it's called Crawling In The Dark. I've attached it for your listening pleasure

Oh yeah....I love that song by Hoobastank...It sounds kinda like a cross between Linkin Park and Incubus.....good stuff. :D

To me The Calling sounds more like the Crash Test Dummies. You might say I'm wrong, since it's kind of a different genre, but we are talking about the voice and not the band.

i like "wherever you will go" by the calling, really good song!!!! haven't heard any other of their stuff tho.

"superman" by FfF is pretty good too...but again, haven't heard anything else by them that i remember...

The Union Underground is some scary stuff. . .heh

And I could agree that Hoobastank sounds like Incubus w/o all the mixing and sampling and electronic trickery. Very nice raw sound. But who really cares who they sound like? If you like, like it.

I listened to the Five for Fighting CD a while back at a record store. It was okay but every song sounded exactly alike. If you like that Superman song and don't mind a whole CD sounding the same then go for it. However if you like variety in your music avoid them at all costs hehehe

Ya know, the funny thing about that Five For Fighting song is, he talks about how he's not Superman, and how it's so hard being him, but if you think about it, Superman has a much harder life then the Five For Fighting guy! I mean, seriously, Superman has all sorts of villians after him, and has to save the world all the time! Has the Five For Fighting guy ever saved the world? If I were him, I'd be happy that I'm not Superman! I don't think I could handle that stress!

Umm.....I got the Five for... cd for Christmas.....not a recommended cd if you ask me
There's about three songs that I really like on that cd.....the rest aren't too great

I saw the Calling in concert. They opened for Lifehouse at the University of Central Arkansas...Pretty good concert too...
