Hi. I just got my Line 6 POD XT Live and so far I'm really disappointed with the way it makes my rhythm heavy metal recordings sound. The solo's are ok but the rhythm is just awful buzzy. Can anyone help me adjust my settings to avoid the buzz? Also, how do I hook my cd player up to my POD XT Live in order to hear it in my headphones while I'm listening to what I'm playing. I see were the input on the back of the POD is but it's a 1/4" and my CD player has 3 plugs. Anyone help me with that too? Thanks. Matthew.

See, you should have gotten the Boss GT-8 :D !!! But maybe you just neet to take spend some more time tweaking the Pod. While it would not be my first choice, the XT is not a bad sounding unit.

Hahaha. Playing my POD in front of my amp is a dream. I'm serious about that! I can download patches from the public POD patch file and there's a patch for every guitar artist you'd ever want to sound like. Given 9 out of 10 of them don't really sound like the original artists, but that one that does, it's just amazing!! About the recordings, I've started to learn that I don't need as much presense and drive as I thought and if I add chorus it really makes it smooth. You can have your G-8 effects pedal, I'd rather sound like steve vai on blue powder or gary moore or zakk wylde.:) thanks for taking the time to help me!! take care.

if it is buzzy, that could be your guitar, not the module. If the guitar is cheap, you probably have bad guts, and need to send it to a shop to get it looked at! I have played the XT live and I have never heard buzz! It sounds like a bad wire in your guitar!
