well, i never had a TALENT in music, but i have a SKILL: playing the recorder. my school started teaching their students how to play recorders in 3rd grade. but, after 5th grade, i moved to FLorida. the hardest song i know is 'Amazing Grace.' i think Amazing Grace sounds the best on a recorder. don't ask me why. anywho, as time went on, i felt like i had less and less a knowliedge of playing recorders. i do feel the same now.

Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now, I see

never got into the recorder but i play 3 different penny whistles. flutes and whistles like that are great for adding a celtic feel to a song. my mom gave me a penny whistle in D (the most common) when i was little. i started playing it in chapel praise band at college this year when i joined in playing my flute. in return, i also bought one in C and one in G... the one in G is tiny and hard to play cuz my fingers have to be so close together LoL i'm hoping to get one in E too b/c so many of our songs are in E too.
