Fill or Ywing, ya'll can send this to the "other instruments" forum if you want to, but I just had to share with everyone that I got a flute!! A nice lady I know just gave it to me; I'm real excited!! I know, like, N-O-T-H-I-N-G about it though, so if anyone who plays flute has any tips, that's great!

Ok, uh, lol, just wanted to share! :D

Heya,

All I know is that its probably the best sounding instrument ever:) But Its a bit hard..at least from my experience. (rather short, lol)

Well, I have a little plastic toy flute... so there!
I am gonna send this there...
but why did you say "fill or ywing"?
Ywing hasn't been a mod for like a month...

Oh yeah! lol, I'm just so used to him being a mod, I forgot!!

I printed out a fingering chart and I can play two notes now! lol

I've been playing flute for 5 years now. The best notes to start with are middle G, F, and Eb. Once you can hit those 3 notes you can do hot cross buns. From there you can play higher and lower, just change the direction of your air.

I'm getting a flute! my aunt is giving me hers and its so pretty. I love the sound of it and i cant wait to get my hands on it. She lives far away so i probably wont get it anytime soon, but i will get it!:)

The flute is an awesome instrument. I've been playing for 5 yrs and I love it!
I'd have to say, Bflat is one of the most common notes to play on a flute.
Some more advice-- get a tuner if you don't already have one. They really help. It's also fun to sit in band and watch the tuner as the band plays! Lol. They can get pretty outta tune
