is "hey you, i love your soul" the same skillet as "alien youth" and "collide"? i was looking in koorong the other day (the local christian book and music shop) for some good albums that i didnt have when i cam across "hey you, i love your soul". i looked on the back and it had three guys as the band members on it. the skillet i know is 2 guys and 2 girls. and the thing is, none of the 3 on HYILYS look anything like john l. or the guitarist. i was just wondering about that help would be appreciated

I split your post from the thread that it was in.I believe that after Hey You I Love Your Soul they went through a line up change.I could be wrong since I dont know much about Skillet but I believe that is what someone told me.

From allmusic.com
Alternative CCM rockers Skillet formed in Memphis, Tennessee around the nucleus of lead singer and bassist John Cooper, guitarist Ken Steorts and drummer Trey McClurkin. Debuting in 1996 with a self-titled LP, the trio returned two years later with Hey You, I Love Your Soul. Invincible followed in early 2000, and the group contributed three tracks to the Ardent Worship: Live compilation that same year. With a new linup of Cooper on bass and lead vocals, his wife Korey Cooper on guitar and keyboards, Ben Kasica on guitar, and Lori Peters on drums, Skillet released Alien Youth on Ardent Records in 2001, followed by Collide, also on Ardent, in 2003.

all the same Skillet...Just that it seems that John Cooper is the only member remaining from "Ardent" and "Hey You"

Heh, I was kidding.
For a complete list of albums that Skillet has released, go here.
It's a shame people only know the band for Collide and Alien Youth. Their better stuff was not on either of those records.

~JonTrue that...I have "Hey You" and really want to get "Ardent" (IMO it's one of the better p&w albums out there...at least it beats the pants off that Kutless one)

I borrowed the self-titled album from a friend years ago. I only had it for a week. But I really wish I could find it for a decent price somewhere (read: not the local Christian bookstore, for $18). Not that I've really looked that much, but still...

Good CD. I found my copy for around $13-14 at Virgin Megastore in Orlando. I'd imagine that a large place like that wouldn't charge $18 for a CD that old/really not that popular.
