back in the day the band hated writing out Magnified Plaid on flyers and stuff. So they started calling themselves "M.P." (my initials :cool: ) Yuri made periods as little Xs. When he wrote out M.P., it really looked like Mxpx.... the kids came to shows and thought thats what they were called.... the name stuck.

Its a great name......... magnified plaid. Ive been a real MxPx fan for a long time.... and i didnt even know that til last summer.

I used to be in a band called Plaid Speed. Its from a quote in spaceballs. Ne thing with plaid is a great name :D
