<font color=navy>What is your favorite pick? Mine is dunlop shubby triangle. It is super thick compared to other picks, but once you get used to it, it is so much more comfortable than other picks and has a superior grip. It is triangular shaped, so you can use all three corners, which means you can use it at least three times longer than other picks, but actually longer than that because it doesn't wear out as quickly.

My fave changes with each week!

I play most lead stuff using a Dunlop Stubby 3.0mm or sometimes a Dunlop Jazz III.

I've got a ton of heavy D'Andrea standard 351 styles that I use with the acoustic, but they're scattered in all my cases & bags that I take to gigs "just in case". Can never have too many laying around.

In the process of getting some custom personalized picks just for the heck of it. They'll be black & white zebra stripes on one side & black on the other with graphics in white...haven't made the final decision yet but it looks like it'll be a weightlifting smiley face with "justin says have a nice day" around it. We'll see.

Dunlop 60s are really nice, although sometimes I go for something just a hair thinner (yeah, I know you 2 and 3 mm guys are thinking "can you get any thinner than that, you wuss?")

I use the F-1 picks, they are great!! You have to hold them correctly. Actually, the x-1 picks are better. Check 'em out here (http://www.f1pick.com).

After I chunked a string on the first arpegiated strum with a fender heavy I've been using tortex .60s non-stop. FEnder picks scare me, except their thins, which I use for practice on my acoustic, and their premium celluloids, which I haven't seen anywhere in months, maybe over a year

dunlop .60 mm are the best.... the nylon is the only thing i can hold on to and the only thing thin enough to strum with that i can't break..... its takes a lot more wear than tortex (which look very cool by the way... love that turtle logo) plastic or any other celluloid

I didn't mean to knock Fender. I've just had bad luck with them. For some reason their mediums feel to light for me, and their heavies break my strings. The thins are just good for acoustic practice. Of course my Tortexes chip all over the place. It's kinda gross because if I rock too hard chunks start flying. STill even in their "piece of crap" state, they're decent, and I still like 'em more than the Fender classics. Now Fender Premium Celluloid is a whole other story. I love those, I just never find them

Hey, I use the Fender California Clears too. Mine are blue. They look cool and play great for me.

i strum really hard, (have to, crazy punk/rock/ska songs) and use Pick Boy Pose-A-Grip 1.00m picks, best hard ones i can find, and i still go through 2-4 a week. guess thats what happens when you play day and night.

I use San Doga .5 mm thin picks. They rock. I love the sound and I love their feel. I use it for everything, even hard rock and fast solos. They sound the best for praise music.

If I'm only playing hard rock or fast solos, etc. I use Fender medium picks.

I also really like the Jim Dunlop .60 mm Picks

I use any kinda pick i can get, but prefer mediums.

Does anyone else have a problem with chewing on picks? I chew them until they splinter and then i can't play with them anymore. Don't think i'm crazy, i just have a bad oral-fixation. I chew on pens too (which can be messy)....

Dunlop tortex orange (.6 mm) for strumming my acoustic.
Dunlop green and blue for solos and whatnot
I usually settle on my unending supply of yellow dunlops though. They seem to be easiest to find. Must be the bright color.

yeah Jeffff i chew on mine but i think it helps because i u se .60 and .73 mm Jim Dunlop nylon picks and by chewing on them it makes them more flexible:) :D

i also chew on pens too

Yeah mine's a Dunlop .60 mm Nylon for most playing but sometimes I play a .46 or even a .38 for really fast strumming. I like the 2mm Stubby's for lead stuff.

i use dunlop .60 picks i think they give me the best sound for acoustic stuff.

but for electric guitar stuff i use fender mediums

Right now I'm using a Dunlob nylon that's like 1mm. It's the thickest pick I ever used, but it's crazy flexible since it's nylon. I still like the .60 Tortexes

Well,

I'm kinda going against the grain here. I also use the Fender California Clears. I like 'em really thin. If I have a solo or something to play, then I just use the four picks that God created me with (P-I-M-A -- tee hee). Also, I like to play lots 'o chords, and the thin ones don't break the strings as fast. Well, that's about it for me for now. Good discussion, by the way. :D
