I need to know if a few Bass Guitars are any good. They are...
Alvarez 5-string - Link to the guitar (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1485896982)
Yamaha 5-string - Link to the guitar (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1485960551)
Alvarez AEB4AB - Link to the guitar (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1486002246)
That's all of them. One more thing, does anyone know any good sounding and looking bass guitars for around $200-$400?? Nothing really fancy..just something to get me started. Thanks!

Out of those, I would probably go with the Yamaha, they usually have decent quality control. The Alverez basses I've played havn't been all that great, not BAD, just nothing spectacular. Other basses to look into are Fender Jazz Basses, Peaveys, MTD Kingston, Ibanez BTB, and Spectors.

Uh... yeah... what Lee said.
I've also played the Alvarez basses. They don't sound as nice as they look. They also don't have very steady necks even though they advertise them as being graphite re-inforced. There are plenty of others in your price range that are much better. The Yamaha's are nice but check out the others that Lee mentioned before you buy, you may like one of those better.
Peace!

Now i'm leaning more towards Ibanez, Peavey, and Yamaha. I like the Ibanez BTB's but they are a little expensive. I also like the Peavey Cirrus Series and Peavey Cirrus Series, probably the Fury Series better though. I love the Yamaha TRBJP! That's one awesome bass but way too expensive for me. I like the Yamaha BB Series too. Could anyone tell a little bit about some of those guitars? I'm going to go to a few guitar stores and try some out...i just want to know what good ones i could be looking for. One more question, is a 5-string alot different than playing a 4-string? I haven't played the bass too much but i know i'll want a 5-string sometime, so should i just go ahead and get one now or wait till i learn how to play a 4-string good? Now i don't know the prices for some of these so they may be out of my price range which i think i said earlier is around $200-$400. BTW, i live near Plano, Texas and i'm gunna check out Guitar Center, Mars Music, and Brook Mays which are all in Plano. If anyone lives near there maybe you could help me and let me know who has the best selection and the best prices. Or maybe you know somewhere else to go, those are the only places i can think of around here. So if you can answer any of my questions please do. I'm very eager to get a bass.

DeArmond Pilots and Ibanez Soundgears are good for the price.
It also can't hurt to check out the low-end Fenders at that price.

I forgot to post that i already got my guitar about a week ago :) It's a Washburn Bantam Series XB120 4-string with a sunburst type of color. I really like it alot! It has a great sound to it! Sorry about the delay ;)

I seriously tried out an Ibanex EDC or something at the store, and although I thought it was good, I despised the painted neck. I felt like my hand was always sticking to the back of it.
