That's not cool. They've been a band for a long time but I really only started getting in to them in 2003...They are currently my favorite band. I wonder if it's because of Mark's voice....Who knows. I'll definately be going to their shows this year anytime they come within 100 miles of where I live :-/ .

That stinks, but they were an awesome band, sad to see them go, but they definitely were awesome as a band and as Christians. Hmm.....Audio A's gone, DC Talk hasn't officially gone yet (but I haven't heard anything about them getting together), I wonder how long the Newsboys we keep on. But Audio A was definitely one of my fav bands.

:-/ They've been around for a while, so it's sad to see such a big part of Christian music break up, but... I like Audio A, but I'm not too heartbroken about it.

Really? There's been talk about how they might break up soon everytime they've put out a new album since Lift.

That shows how behind in these kind of things I am. I had never heard that.

Yeah it had something to do with Mark's voice. I'm extremely sad, but I understand. You can also find out more by going to the Audio A boards.

I'm not too sad about this one. Honestly, the only album I ever really cared for was Underdog.

They were alright. They had a few decent songs.
I'm honestly not shocked.
I'm glad. They have had their time. Too many bands stick around for too long.
I'm only glad in the sense that I think Mark has some great things in store with the orphanage in Haiti. Perhaps his vocal problems is God's way of getting his focus solely on that charity, he obviously has a great heart for it. Still sad.

I certainly didn't see that one coming!
It seems that their past 2 albums they've been setting it up so that
Mark could leave the band
and the band continue without him
but I guess they all just decided to call it quits

Even if they continued it just wouldn't be the same without Mark. I went to a show without him, Tyler did good, but Mark just has this way of getting you jumping even when you don't feel like it, Tyler can't do that with the guitar on.

Man.. I heard the news last night, and I went to bed and put on Underdog, and the last song I heard was It's Over..
"Farewell, so long to you
We've come to the end of the night
It's all been wonderful
A lovely and wonderful time
Say goodnight to
All the friends who
Rocked and rolled beside you
We hope you've enjoyed the show
It's over, it's over
It's all over now
This room will be empty soon
When the music and laughter is gone
This night will be forgot
But the joy you've found can go on
Say goodnight to
All the friends who
Rocked and rolled beside you
We hope you've enjoyed the show
It's over, it's over
It's all over now
The lights come down, don't lose your glow
When it's over, it's over
It's all over now
Is it over?
Or has it just begun? "

I'm glad Mark is giving his voice a rest. In concert, it hurt just to listen to him.
Their music really wasn't all that good; pretty simple. Their lyrics had a lot of meaning in the last few albums, though.
What I am going to miss is Ty's voice. I'm hoping he goes to another band, or starts his own. He's a pretty good guitarist, and, by my opinion, he has the best sounding and best trained voice in all of Christian music.

Tyler has his own myspace page with some demos of his own songs on it. It's all acoustic folk stuff. It's okay, but it is not near as good as any Audio Adrenaline stuff.
I'm going to see them in concert this Friday night, and if I get a chance to talk to them I hope to ask them what their plans are after the end of this year.

Why do band haters always post in forums like these?
Because they have the option to express whether or not they like certain bands.

Songs on Purevolume aren't public domain. They're just free. You don't have free domain of songs on Purevolume.

The songs on his Myspace are public, but you can't download them, you can only listen to them. Use a friends computer that doesn't have Myspace blocked, and just search for Tyler Burkum.

Last night was one of the best nights of my life.
Let's just say that that is me in the attatched picture holding the mic...which it is...Best concert of my life!!!!! I found this picture on someone's personal online photobook.
I'm not sure why I have that look on my face...It looks like I'm angry or something...In my mind I could hardly believe what was happening!

After seeing them at Creation West last week, I'm glad they are retiring. Don't take me wrong - I love this band, but Mark's voice is so shot, it was hard for him to even speak. It hurt me to listen to him struggle. For his sake and their fans, I'd like to remember them in a good light. I wish them the best in each of their future endeavors and whatever paths God leads them on.

yes... i would have to agree. I too was in the pit at Creation West and it was hard to just listen to Mark talk. its about that time, even though it will be sad seeing them no more.

i'm pretty sure if mark wouldn't have what you called "screamed" but i call just basically a rough, raspy voice audio a wouldn't have been what it was
I have a feeling that other members of audio a will move on to other projects b/c they are all extremely talented individuals

Unfortunatly it is true. They were one of my favorite bands, but Mark Stuart is having voice problems. His voice just gets worse and worse over time. I always described his raspy gruff voice as a "smoker" voice. I love their Goodbye song, but I will miss them dearly.

Audio Adrenaline - ADIOS
ADIOS is a commemorative look back at the expansive career of Audio Adrenaline. The album journies through the bands greatest hits along with two newly recorded songs. This special edition ADIOS package includes a DVD containing all Audio Adrenaline videos, live performance footage and new band interviews. The package also features interviews from artists impacted by Audio Adrenaline, including tobyMac and Steven Curtis Chapman, each talking about their shared tour experiences and favorite memories of Audio Adrenaline.
Since 1991, Audio Adrenaline has taken a full throttled blast of musical passion, melded it with a compassionate desire to impact the world at large and added members’ rock-solid grounding in reality with their vulnerable, no holds barred songwriting. Thanks to earnest performances and undying appreciation for its fans, the group has sold over three million records and racked up 18 No. 1 singles.
The band’s Bloom recording was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1999 and they were awarded the prestigious “Song of the Decade” in the 90s for Big House by CCM Magazine. With a prestigious GRAMMY Award for its 2004 recording, WORLDWIDE, and four Dove Awards, Audio Adrenaline has consistently proved its relevance, artistry and heart.
