Anyone know of a good p-bass (split-coil) style pick ups? I need one that doesn't hum or buzz, something that is silent when im not playing anything. Because where I play worship their is a soda machine in the room and it messes with the pick up.
With a price somwhere between $30 - $70.

Seymour Duncan's QuarterPound replacement sets sound nice, especially if you do a lot of mid- and high-end runs. They'll usually run about $50 - 60.
If you can swing it, check out Lace's P-100. Lace sensors cannot be beat for a warm, full-bodied tone. They're priced around a hundred bucks, but they're definitely worth it.

You may want to have your bass shielded better first, that may help alot. Also make sure the bass is grounded properly, that is another source of hum. Try that first, then see if you need new pickups. The only ones I know of that will be "Hum free" are active pickups like EMG and Lace pickups. Even they can cause hum, so it is always something. Have you tried changing your direction?

Try turning some in both directions. I don't mean wobble back and forth, just turn the head of the bass and see if anything happens.
I havn't tried the OLP stingrays, but some people really like the four string version. I've heard the string spacing is a little tight on the five string version. Remember that these won't get you an exact Stingray tone (at least not a stock OLP!), but they do look good!
