I have been looking for this song forever, but I don't know the name of the song, so I can't begin to learn to play it.

I think it is Hillsongs, but I am not sure...

The song goes like this...


Ask and I'll give the nations to you,
Oh Lord, its the cry of my heart


It is an awesome song, please help me, please, sniff sniff

The song is entitled "You Said".....

It is on the Hillsongs CD "By Your Side". It was written by Reuben Morgan who also has written some of the best Praise and Worship chorus' around...

Rita Springer also recorded a version of this song that was more guitar driven than worshipful....

The song was written in "A" but I prefer to bump it down to "G".

Well, I am glad that I finally know the song. But now I have a new dillemma. I can't find any music for it!!!! I wanted to know so I could find music and now I can't find any. If you know of where I could find like a chord chart for it, I could come up with the rest....

Shane Barnard has a version "You Said." It's the last track on his new CD Psalms. I like it a little bit better.

I disagree, just slightly, though.....I think Hillsongs version is the best, simply because no one can do a song like the artist that wrote it....

Take Paul Baloche for example, just about everyone has redone "open the eyes of my heart"...But I've never heard a better version of it than the one I heard him do...

Exceptions to the rule would be Deleriou5? version of "I could sing of your love forever".....I think that this song is better on the Passion 98 version.. although they don't sing the second verse, they slow it down a little and make it more worshipful....But then again, this is all just my opinion......
