Has anyone ever heard Scarecrow & Tinmen? They have some very good lyrics! Their music is great too. That is why they are my fav band!

Hey I like that song by CR too. It's funny and I love the drum fill right before the chorus. I really like stuff by Delirious, for praise and worship. Lately I've been listening to alot of Tooth and Nail bands like Julianna Theory and Poor Old Lu...it's some really awesome stuff, and I can relate to so many songs.

I could list TONS of songs that I love the lyrics on, but one I listened to recently has a lil story to it, so here goes. I was having a REALLY crappy day a month or so ago...didn't feel well, too many classes to go to...papers to write...projects to work on...just life in general was a dud so I thought. I had bought the newest Cheapskates $1.99 CD b/c it had just came out, so I popped it in and the first song is "Jury Duty" by The Supertones. I listened to it before, but the words caught my attention this time...

And no, I haven't had the best of days...but I wanna stop and thank You anyway...Cuz every single moment when I'm sleepin' or awake is Your creation...and what you made is good...I don't always thank You for the rough days and the hard times in my life...even though I should...

Anyway, that just made me cheer up and feel a whole lot better because I should be thankful for EVERY moment and not just the good ones. Peace out!

I think that one of the songs with the best lyrics is "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. This song is great because it talks about what it might be like in heaven and how we will react to seeing Jesus face to face. It is awesome!!!

And surrounded by Your glory what will my heart feel? Will I dance for You Jesus, Or in awe of You be still? Will stand in Your presence, to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine.

Great words get this song or their CD.

It seems like most of you all are into harder stuff, but lyrically, Rich Mullins was the poet laureate of a generation, and his influence will resonate for a long time to come.

Yes, Skillet's "Locked In A Cage" has some of the best lyrics. One of my friends did a devotion about that song at church once.
