Hi,
As a beginning songwriter, I was hoping to record some of my songs onto a demo disk/casette, and am trying to figure out the best and easiest way for doing that. I want something with decent quality that I could at least record seperate tracks for guitar and vocal.
I have heard the the Tascam ministudios are good and was wondering if anyone has one of them and how they like them? Are they fairly easy to use?
thanks.

I don't own one personally, but my school (MTSU) has a huge Tascam lab that we use for all the midi and project-type stuff. We use the real studios for big recording projects and stuff, but the Tascam lab gets a whole lot of useage. We like Tascam equipment here... and this school has one of the biggest Recording Industry depts in the whole world. So, I'd say go with it.

Have you considered a computer recording setup? It is the setup that gives the most bang for the buck and it can do ALOT of things that other things like 4 tracks or stand-alone recorders do...PS I own a 4 track...so I know<ben>

:cool:I agree with Ben. You could get a good setup on your computer for about a third of the cost that you would pay if you bought all hardware. Check out the thread in this section called recording.
