No I didnt like most of the vocals either. This bands music repeats itself to much. Not really any change between songs. From what Ive heard at least.

I'm really digging "searchlights," the one with the heavy guitar part on the intro. they all sound pretty good. not too different from their last cd, but why change something that's awesome?

So I think the new cd will either sound like TFK's "Phenomenon" cd or like a clone of their last cd, maybe a mix of both.

I Dont Think The Album Sounds Anything Like TFK's Phenomenon But There Is Some Songs On It That Sounds Like Crashings But Thats What I Think You Guys May Think Different

If you buy the X 2005 album, there's a song called "exit calypsan" on it from the upcoming album. I got it free at Creation West. (And FU performed "Flights" live)

The new Demon Hunter album comes out on the same day as this one, already pre-ordered it. Ryan Clark should do another song with FU.

By the way, does anyone know what "arafax" or "calypsan" mean?

You are right. All of Jessy's writing has basically the same feel. But it TOTALLY ROCKS! They lyrics differ between songs, and while all the music fits into the same genre, I wouldn't say it sounds exactly the same. It all has heavy guitars and piano, but they do different things.

Yeah "Exit Calypsan" is one of the best songs on Dawn Escapes.

 I've been wondering the same thing. They're not in the dictionary. I've considered e-mailing Falling Up and asking them what they mean.

Overall, Dawn Escapes is my favorite cd. I thought they'd have trouble topping Crashings, but they proved me wrong. It's mostly the same genre as Crashings, but they have slightly better lyrics, more piano (I really like the heavy guitar/piano sound. A lot of my writing has that), and more complicated guitar riffs. Very good cd. If you liked Crashings, I guarantee you'll LOVE Dawn Escapes :yep:

I heard Moonlit a few times on the radio a while ago, and I didn't even notice it was a new song, because it sounded just like the rest of 'em.
I still really like the sound of the new stuff. 'Searchlights' sounds very cool. I think I'll get Dawn Escapes. :yep:

You can listen to six of the tracks from Dawn Escapes at http://www.purevolume.com/fallingup. You should totally get this cd. I got it just over a week ago, and I'm totally loving every track.
