I might get an amazing amount of hate posts on here, but I have Truthless Heroes and plan to get the new CD's, and I don't find any real "Christian" lyrics. Everything seems to be political and STBYBB seems to be about "spies" and "bad guys". Any help here?

Well, for the most part, from what I heard, the basic theme behind "Truthless Heroes" is the fact that if you live trying to find hope, but you don't have Christ, then you won't find hope.

They're all Bhuddists, actually. Some cute girls tried to convert Schwab to Christianity at a recent show, though. He said he would talk about his faith more in a new book he's writing on theology and how it relates to calculus.

Does it matter? Seriously.

Truthless Heroes is a concept album regarding one lad's search for truth in a world bombarded on all sides by "truthless heroes." Media, politics, corporations, and even religion are all sources for these truthless heroes. Personally, while I love the album, it's not quite as good as Drawing Black Lines or Songs to Burn Your Bridges By.

"Spy Hunter" echoes the themes of Truthless Heroes. The search for truth, while not necessarily a Christian theme, certainly fits with Christianity.

"Oblivion" is simply a song about surrendering to God. We have to fall to stand in Christ, surrender to follow Him.

"A Shadow on Me" is about failing to see God in the midst of tragedy, but ultimately finding God in the end as He is "the only home I know."

"Safe Haven" echoes all sorts of Christian themes. "Son they will hate you because they always hated me" and "And even though I feel alone
I know that I could never be" are fairly blatant.

Having read "It's All Downhill From Here" by Schwab, I can safely say that "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy" is about how the Christian community attack Project 86 for Truthless Heroes for being "depressing" or "dark."

Do you want me to continue? Project 86 are clearly Christians and Andrew Schwab writes some fantastic lyrics from a Christian perspective. No, he doesn't say "God" or "Jesus" in every song or anything, but it's clear from the lyrics that he is a Christian.

Thank you. I coudn't find any maybe because I wasn't reading them the right way? :-/ Anyway, I like Project 86 and I know I'm going to pre-order "...And the rest will follow" because I can get the new DVD with it for $20. I'll probably start my new job next weekend so I'll have some money.

(I guess a moderator should close this thread because I don't think anybody will or should post anything new on here.)

Same subject.Im leaving it open to discussion if someone would like to discuss just how "Christian" their lyrics are then I will leave it open for them to do so.

oh wow.....someone saying that they are buddhists is quite possibly the funniest thing i have ever heard. Yea. Try looking at they're lyrics not so literally. They aren't really straigt up talking about how they love God, but more or less the struggles they've been through in their christian walks. And ya, watch their DVD. It shows pretty nicely that they're christians

But I'll be sitting by myself here
Waiting oh so patiently
Waiting for the sky to fall
And purge frail humanity
Could it quite possibly be about someone waiting for Christ to return?

As they pounded in the stake
I thought I heard them say
“Become like us or you will be slain”
Maybe about killing Christ?

Our sanctuary of this high-rise
Our steeples our billboards
Our slogans our converts
Oh don’t forget to buy this T-shirt
As you leave
And open up the offering box
And give until it hurts
Show me an open heart and we’ll steal it away
Cause eternity’s on up for sale for a small fee today
You Know
This is self-explanatory.

Your heroes are dead
They were all in you head
When nothing is left we’ll start again
I se this as being about how all our "heros" or other earthly things we put our faith in are "dead" and will just leave us empty, and how we will start over again in Christ.

How will we open the eyes of the dead
When we are hollow
Hollow…
This is a no-brainer.

If you read about ATRWF on their website, It say's that the Cd is about going back to a more understood Christian band. Thats why In the song Sincerly Ichabahd they say " We once drew some lines in black, now its about time we took them back." Their refering to The CD Drawing Black Lines and how it had a better Christian theme then the last two Cds, and they wanted their new one to go back to their old Writing styles.
I don't know if that Info is still up on their site, but thats what I read in September when ATRWF came out.

...people really often put christian (or at even "suedo-christian") bands on a pedistal... u gotta remember they're human too... they have the same weaknesses and mistakes the rest of us do... but i think what andrew really believes down deep comes loud and clear through his lyrics... and in responce to the buddist or mormon ideas... would a buddist or mormon thank simply "Jesus Christ", like andrew and his band mates do in ATRWF, or even just "God" as in STBYBB???...
