Apologetics/Evangelism

if Apologetics is science relating to religion (i am just guessing here...)... what does it have to do with evangelism ? I mean... yeah even the stuff in Theology can pertain to evangelism.. but these topics seem to be generally different.

Actually, apologetics is more along the lines of philosophical dicussion on different religious beliefs than scientific(though it can quite frequently run into science). :)

I always think of Apologetics in terms of Apologists, defenders of the Faith. So it would mean to defend Christianity.
