I really like their music, but I don't have their cd so I guess I don't even know which guy is Hutch. I guess anybody, body body leaving would be pretty bad.

Hutch is their drummer. I don't know what I think. As long as their album will still be out in the spring I guess I don't mind.
I'm going to see Earthsuit and Jars of Clay TOMORROW!!!!!

Hey, I got to meet everyone in Earthsuit except for Roy. Their new drummers nickname is Mo (Hey didn't tell me his name). He looks so much like Hutch I went up to him and said "Hey, I hate to see you leave." "Actually, I'm just now coming." Oops. Oh well. ES is a great bunch of guys. Dave forged Roy's signature for me so I could have all their "autographs."

The sunglasses guy is Adam LaClave, one of their singers. Their new drummer's name is also Adam, but they call him Mo.

getttttttt.................One Time, Against the Grain, Osmosis Land, Schizophreniac, and Said the sun to the shine......that should cover pretty much everything
suitcase
04-22-2002, 06:52 PM
all the songs except one time have been changed but they rock so hard in concert! they usually play schizophreniac osmosis land noise for your eyes(new song) wheel salvation(cranberries cover) do you enjoy the distortion? and end with one time and if the crowd is really into the music and can yell enough they might do an encore of whitehorse :)
well my 18th show totally rocked it was in des moines iowa at frank's house of rock my first ArtOfficial experience:) great show .rod laver and beanbag were way awsome too and darren earthsuit's new drummer is way cool! check out the tour if you get a chance!

Awful style? Earthsuit defies style! :D
My favorite band. Get lost in the continuum of subharmonic space, yo! I love the whole New Orleansian funk they always have goin' on. Ahh, can never get enough of da 'Suit.
never seen them never been to a concert DON"T EVEN HAVE THEIR CD!!! is that lame or what

Earthsuit is incredible. They are probably the most unique band I've ever heard. They're like a rock/techno/rap/reggae blend. I've sadly never seen them in concert. They've never come near where I live. And what's up with their second CD getting bumped back to the end of October!??! That's insanity. It was supposed to come out this past spring! That ticked me off.

Hate to be the bringer of more bad news, Josiah, but the CD ain't even coming out this year. Most likely in January 2003. The guys are still writing and want to make it perfect, no less than their best effort...all the touring they've been doing lately has taken up a lot of their time, but last I heard they're recording and writing away in New Orleans. Very few concert dates now until it gets finished.
It's going to be an agonizing wait but hey, we're going to get some amazing tunes!

well my friend (who has personal contact with Earthsuit) said that the reason its been pushed back so far is problems with labels...something about working with sparrow and another secular label to release the new cd.....but sparrow doesn't like it very much or something like that. But as far as I know...the cd is still due for release in october.

Earthsuit rocks!! I've never had the chance to see them in concert, but I've heard some of their music live and it sounds like a very energetic concert. My fave song is Wheel.

Cynical Repose...I attended an Earthsuit concert recently, and Paul said that the release date is not until 2003. And I don't know where your friend is getting the record label problems...Earthsuit was a gem to Sparrow when they were signed. Things may have changed now; I don't know. Personally, I do wish they were actually on a different label because Sparrow has been pretty bad about promoting the band and giving them decent exposure; yet nevertheless, the band has a very high reputation by word of mouth, not to mention a growing, very devoted fanbase...
Also, I highly doubt they've heard any of the new material in the first place, since it's still being written and recorded...thirdly, yes, they have been picked up by a secular label in the UK, which is distributing Kaleidoscope Superior over there (and also a new Schizophreniac single)...I don't know if maybe that is causing financial or political problems with Sparrow, maybe so, but we'll have to wait and see.
But, the 'Suit will certainly be back in full effect soon. :)

Earthsuit ownz!
I saw them at Rock the Universe in florida last year and I must, they completly blew me away from what they did there... Qutie different than their album... Harder...
They also did a song from the new album and it rocked!
Yea! When I saw them in concert, I thought the song they did the best performance on was "Do you enjoy the distortion?" because Adam was acting like a robot and his voice sounded like one too. lol. And was the song from the new album called, "Noise for your eyes"? because they played that one, and it sounded really cool. :)

Actually, I think, if I remember correctly, they hadn't named the song at the time... But I'm not sure... may have been the one you mentioned.

OK. I've been confused for a long time. I thought they had two drummers leave, but Darren and Adamo (or Mo) are the same guy. I now understand. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Please answer this: how many drummers has Earthsuit had, counting Hutch as the first?
Alizzy
09-02-2002, 04:01 PM
Earthsuit had Hutch, then he left and they had Admo, but he couldn't deal with the heavy touring so he left and they now have Darren King, who coincidentally has played percussion for them before at a couple of live shows years ago. And now I guess we've learned Darren has a 'mo' nickname too... confusing 'Suit men... ;)

Man I love Earthsuits awesome style but i was just wonderin how the band it doing with all of these different drummers, you said that, that one guy had played with them before but i was wondering if all of the changes of drummers might be hurting their unity as a group.
