I was going to post the chords to some of my songs, but when I went to preview it, the chords weren't spaced above the words rights. It's sort of hard to explain. It looked fine when I was typing it in, but it won't post right.
For instance, I am typing these three chords atleast 2" apart from eachother, but see what they look like when I post them?

A C G

I can't post the chords until I figure this out!

<font color=navy>With html language, you can't have more than one blank space together. The trick is, type &nb sp; without the space in the middle (I had to do that to make it show up on the screen) where you want a blank space.</font>

That sound a little complicated. I've got another idea. I could add periods like this:

A.......C.......G...

And so on...

<font color=navy>What I meant was this:

A&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;C&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;G

Or you can do,

A_____C_____G

But, yeah, my method takes more time and effort. But if you gotta have everything perfect like I do, then that's the way to go.</font>

I think I will use either ..... or _________
Your method sound good, but complicated.

There's a piece of code you can use in HTML that will solve this problem. It's called "pre", meaning pre-formatted. And, being the wonderful administrator that I am, I've left HTML turned on in your posts, so this will work. :) It's pretty simple. Put (pre) and (/pre) around the text you want to keep formatted, and that's it! Please note that you need to change the ( and ) to < and > for it to work.

The boards seem to have some issues with "pre" tags in the middle of a message - the text after the closing pre tags runs off the edge of the page. So, you should probably make the "pre" the LAST thing in your posts.

Also, as a general rule, if you have a song that isn't in the archives on the site, I'd prefer that you sent it in to me so I can put it on the site, rather than just post it here. However, you could always do both if you wanted. Enjoy!

IHL,
Mickey

Here's a sample:

This is a test song
Look at all of the spaces between the chords....

Thanks Mickey.
I was just wanting to put the chords to my songs that I had written, though. If I ever tab any songs that are on the request list I will send them to you to put in the archive.
