I used my Realistic Concertmate MG-1 (by MOOG) for some low bass sounds a couple of times. I want to work out a way to use it and my bass at the same time (I know how, but it's expensive). The Concertmate is a good, cheap synth, when you can find them. I got mine in a small music store under a bunch of stuff, and paid ~$100 for it.

You're not talking about the cheap line of Casio rip-offs that Radio Shack sells are you?!?!?!?!? That's the only Concertmate I've ever heard of. If that's what you're talking about, I'd hardly call it a VA or analog synth. But, since you said it's by Moog... and I'm pretty sure the Radio Shack thing is by Casio...... I guess we're talking about two completely different things.

There was a time, long ago, when radio shack wasn't just a "gadget shop!" :) The instrument was actually made by Moog, and relabeled for sale at Radio Shack. It is a very basic synth, 2 VCOs, 1 VCF, a combined EG, and some other neat stuff. It has a polyphonic mode that allows up to 10 notes to be played at once! This is very "organish," but the signal still goes through the EG and Filter. I have a sound file I'll put up that I did only with this synth. The one thing I wish it had was an audio in port, and I think I can mod it to have one.
