Pick sliding???

Hey, can anyone out there tell me the correct way to do a pick slide? I was listenin to a song where they do a couple, but i can't
seem to get mine to sound right, and im really not sure what im suppossed to be doing, just draggin the pick on the string? Any help would be appreciated,

To do a good pick slide, you need some nice distortion or overdrive, and a reverb or slap echo pedal if you have one.

You just set the pick across the low E and A strings near the bridge, and quickly slide it up the fretboard towards the nut while applying downward pressure.
