Favourite songs - how have they affected you?

My favourite Delirious song (and possibly #1 all time song) is History Maker. This song means so much to me. I'm living in a country with 120 Million + people, only less than 1% of whom are Christian. The words give me hope, encouragement and strength, especially as although the song is "I'm gonna be" - the real catch comes with "You can do it yeah!" This reminds me that it's not down to me, but rather what God can do in my life for His purpose. And I think thats cool! :cool:

Also I love Intimate Stranger. I've been there, felt that, when I know God's there but ignore Him or forget about Him -- but even through the low times, He's always there.

What are your favourites, and why?

That's totally awesome Revolution! History Maker is an anthem for standing up for Christ.

One that happened to touch me one night was Metamorphis. The verses are hard to decipher, but the chorus tells the heart of the song.

"Can I be somebody, not what they want me to be. Just a pale reflection of what You want me to be."

I was dealing with some stress and people telling me to worry about and deal with a bunch of stuff. This song reminded me that what God wants me to be is good enough (heck, even perfect). Will I get there? Never, cause I'm pretty far from perfect. BUT, I can be "just a pale reflection" of what He wants me to be.

I am hard pressed to choose one song that is my favorite, but
Obsession is definitely close, if not for sure, number 1. It really
struck me - the thought of being obsessed with God - since our
culture is so obsessed with pushing obsession in things that
don't really matter. May my heart always burn for you, my God.
Deeper, that is up there too. Until I heard that song, I thought
that all Christian music was terrible. Since hearing it, that has
been God's continued calling in my life, to go deeper into him, to
become the King of Fools.

I'd have to go with My Glorious off their Glo album. I just love this song because it just gives all the praise to God. It talks about the the power and majesty of God. Something that never seems to amaze me. Truly, he is my glorious.

I have to say that I'm not Ashamed is my fave, cause as it says I'm not ashamed of the the one i love, Jesus Rules:D

My faves have to be "Did You Feel the mountains tremble", "This is the air I breathe" and "Jesus Christ (once again)" They really move me, lift me up, bring me back to the important things in the faith.:)
